So where to start?
I'm covered with Kaiser Permanente through my mom's employer right now (and maybe until 2014). So I went to their 'mental health' place and had my first appointment over there a few days ago. Much to my dismay... they know absolutely nothing. The person they had there who deals with these 'problems' left and they basically said there is no program or procedure for this (but that there USED TO BE a program in the 1990's with a whole bunch of steps, one year of therapy before T and another before surgeries and etc.). So what this guy is going to do for me is to check into Kaiser's current policy on what they will and will not cover, if anything at all. So that's where that is and I'll be finding out sometime in October I guess.
And then there's some potentially good news, on the female junk front. I've officially (and finally) been diagnosed with Menorrhagia, which is all of a sudden not responding to contraceptives that I've been on since age 16 to control this very same problem. It has, in fact, been going on and on and on since August 28th and so perhaps, just perhaps, this is the grounds on which I will maybe be able to at least get them to rip out those parts. It can be life threatening... so I'm praying at least that will happen for me, so I won't have to deal with it: it's destroying my life and has ever since this crap started when I was 11 years old.
As for T... no freaking clue. Perhaps if they took that stuff out and I'd have to be on one or the other anyway, and I could find a cool physician with Kaiser, I'd be able to start it because of that. No idea though. Just a little update. Sorry I haven't been around. That might be changing soon, if I can finally get this ->-bleeped-<- rolling along in the right direction.
