Did your nose or ears get bigger on T?
I don't really need a bigger nose  :-\ I wish my dinky wrists would get bigger. They are about 7in around.

LOL it also made his mouth real tiny.
I' read that T causes cartilage to expand and isn't that what your nose and ears are made of? So I thought they might get bigger.

I haven't been paying any attention to my ears, but from looking at photos, my nose did get bigger.

And according to Medline, a 7" wrist circumference is an average, not small, size for a man over 5'5": http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/imagepages/17182.htm

I have measurements that say my wrists increased from 6.25" pre-T to 6.5" by 1 year on T.  I doubt the bone grew--possibly muscle or connective tissue increased slightly.

On natural T yes, And there's a transgirl on Youtube who said her nose shrunk on estrogen.

Did you nose get a lot bigger?

Doesn't seem average, I was trying on watches the other day and a lot seemed too big. I'm 5'5 barefoot. I'm still holding onto the improbable hope that T will make me taller.

Cool, I'll have to keep track. Where you young when you started T?

I'm going to assume it works the opposite way then. LOL

By "natural T" I'm going to assume you mean for male bodied people. Exogenous testosterone is exactly the same as "natural T." The reason a female bodied person would not experience growth like a male bodied person would is because they are done growing.

I wouldn't say my nose got huge; it still looks like it belongs on my face.  It got a little wider; my whole face got 'meatier' and thicker-looking, actually, so my nose fits right in.  It's only something I notice when I look at direct comparison pre-vs-post-T photos.

Shoot, I misread that site--meant to say 'medium,' not 'average.'  *shrug*  It's been ages since I've been watch shopping, though I have noticed that some stores (big box stores especially) tend to stock the larger end of things.  Awhile ago, I gave up trying to find small mens' Hanes boxers; at every store I went to, over half the stock was L or XL, there was a decent selection of M, but S--forget about it.  I had to get boys' XL--oh well, they were basically the same thing.

I wasn't particularly young--I was nearing the end of 22 when I started T.  I'm still the same 5'4" barefoot that I started with.  I just got bigger around in some places, lol (and smaller around in others).

No, at least..not yet.
But i have not experienced the long term effects from taking testosterone. I have only been on testosterone for 7 months and 28 days. I probably won't be experiencing anything like that for awhile, maybe a few years, dunno.

I have this strange memory of reading (or being told) somewhere that your nose (and/or ears) keep growing your whole life. Don't feel like checking the info right now 'cause I need to log off in a minute but just to throw it in here.

I really don't know about my ears but my nose definitely got wider. My friends and family were all so kind as to point out my larger nose within the first few months on T. Also, possibly unrelated, but my ring size has gone up like 5 sizes, sadly still got tiny wrists too though.

Squirrel698

My wrists are 5 1/2 inches which is basically very small frame as a guy.  I believe I've gained half an inch on T, however.  My hands are my big give away and probably always will be.

As far as my nose or ears growing, it's possible.  If so, it was a very small difference.  Problem is my nose was already large to begin with.

You know, maybe my ears did get bigger.  One thing that got bigger for sure was my neck.  I believe that is increased muscle tone.  One thing I didn't notice until now was how much darker and thicker my eyebrows are.  Even accounting for the different lighting in the two shots.  Damn I use to have such nice skin.  Oh well, it was worth the trade.

That makes sense that it would grow in proportion with your face. I got a pretty big nose though..

That is true. America is getting so fat everything is getting bigger. If only they had a big and short section.

I've been 22 for a few months. I sure wouldn't mind getting bigger in some places.  :icon_yes:

You've just jogged my memory. I remember hearing this too. No idea if it's true.

Wow 5 sizes. Did your hands get longer too?

You gained a half inch in your wrists? Or height? Maybe you can get one of those grip strengthener things that you squeeze.I have no clue if those actually make your hands beefer though.

Holy ->-bleeped-<- you changed alot! You went from looking something teen to thirty something. That's pretty awesome. Yeah your neck is definitely thicker. The hair on your head and your skin tone seem darker too.

Wow Squirrel698! You look great!!! The T has really worked for you making you look so male. That is so awesome! I'm waiting for T to make me look male like that.  You look so good!!! How long you been on T for?

Dominick - Hey thanks!  I've been on T just over 16 months.  Yeah it really worked well and fast.  I'm amazed myself, honestly.  Just looking at the two pictures is a bit unreal to me.

Keaira - Do you mean Justin Bartha?  Thank you!  That's a nice compliment

Sharky - I gained half an inch in my wrists.  It's better than nothing at all.  I have been strengthening my hands just holding on while lifting weights and stuff like that.  I've only had a one person comment on my hands and when I shrugged it off, she didn't mention it again.  So most people probably don't even notice.

The hair on my head is darker because I dyed it.  ;)  I wanted to try out black for a bit.   It's my opinion that darker hair seems to mean male to more people.  I'm not sure why, but most guys I've seen have darker tones.  I'm not sure about my face.  That first picture was taken in April 2010, so perhaps I'm just tan from the summer at the moment.  I don't think T can change skin pigmentation?

I hope my nose grows, I hate it, it's so dainty and retroussé. Not that I expect the latter to change much, but at least if it grows a bit "meatier" like my father's it might offend me less.

My wrists are like 5 3/4"... again, dainty...  >:(

My wrists are still dinky but my nose seems a little more prominent. I'm not sure about my ears; I never paid them much attention.
