Wow, that was an experience I will remember for a very long time

I got to the venue by 9.30 am, picked up a name badge, grabbed a coffee, picked a table and started chatting with the women at the table. Everyone was polite and friendly.
10.30 to 12.30 I hosted the "Women in Education" workshop, which meant that I meet every women at the event !!! Young and old, from every walk of life, degree educated, single mum teenagers, loud and quiet, all sorts

The key issues identified by the workshop were:
* Childcare provision for women in Education
* Family friendly education hours
* Course fees were seen as a barrier to women continuing in education
By lunch time I needed a quiet time to myself to recover my voice and ended up chatting with a delegation from the Liverpool Refugee Centre, which I found really interesting.
After lunch an introduction to Tai Chi

and I was given an Easter egg by the organisers for helping out

As the event finished in time for the woment to go and collect their children from school I had time to meet up with a local TS friend of mine for a chat. She asked if I had been paid for hosting the workshop !!!! No, I would happily have paid to host the workshop just for the experience.
A wonderful day and I look forward to meeting up again with the women I met yesterday
