The only part of you that is the same is your ear. Your FFS surgeon is a magician. What did you have done? If you don't mind me asking!

thanks!
I wish I did, which is probably why I'm posting these pictures... like if I can find other people that like me... maybe I can like myself? but thats just silly.  I know it is, loving yourself comes from within, so why am I still here posting pictures of my transition?

Self acceptance is one of the most difficult parts of transition. No amount of time can go by, nor the volumes of hormones, and the most expensive surgeries can do the work that self acceptance can. I have found for my own battles with this that many of the Budist teachings on this are CRITICAL. They are teaching me how to search out the inner me and how to gain happienes and self acceptance to gain an inner peace. It may be worth a look...

I've come to the conclusion that the 2 most important things needed for a successful transition are: 1) Self-Acceptance - without this, the confidence required to live day to day is very hard to acquire and 2) A sense of humour - This is needed so we can laugh at ourselves when we make a mess of things and so we can smile when faced with other adversity.

@ Ashley - freckles are cute.  Don't let anyone say otherwise!

@ Carley - your nose is fine, but your eyecolor seems to have changed!

@ Snowpaw - you are no trainwreck.  Be proud of your progress.

I probably won't leave these up forever, but these are mine.  That said, if I take them down and someone would like to see them privately, message me.  I think there is value, for those who are transitioning, in where others have come from.

I think you should be rather proud of your progress Erica  :)  The before pic.s look like a rather unhappy and unsure guy and the after pic.s look like a very happy and confident woman

Quite a difference  :)  You look great

Awe, thanks, V M! : )  I am definitely much happier, much more together, all around, and more confident.  Sometimes, the journey amazes me, and I still go through points where I feel like I look terrible, but there has also been enough time that my past almost seems like remembering another person.  Thanks again, it's nice to hear : )

That's a very good question, oZma?  You're extremely beautiful, and you've certainly accomplished a lot in such a short time.  It's breathtaking looking at the before and after.  Don't be so hard on yourself! ;)

The boy in the photo looks quite sad. What do you see when you see yourself in these photos? When I see your before and after photos I feel a sense of euphoria and elation for you. If you've only been FT for 5 months, your feelings are perfectly understandable. I was totally paranoid at the start. I presumed everyone was reading me, but the opposite was the reality. I was quite incredulous and I still have a little sense of that disbelief that won't go away 15 years later!
