Really curious how many people self inject.

Please also comment below saying where you get your injections (bum, thigh etc)

I rotate from my thigh to my bum lol & no offense but having a doctor or nurse do your injections more then once (so you know how) is a waste of time and money.  :P

All the trans guys I know IRL get it done by their Dr.
The doctors like to monitor the first 6 months because It's the danger zone for suicide apparently.
Plus here it doesn't cost any money to see doctors at medical centres.

Yikes, I would find it very inconvenient to have to do that every week. I like doing my own shots.

I have heard that the highest risk for suicide can be in the first few months after starting HRT, but I really don't get why that would warrant monitoring of injections, are they going to stab themselves with a 22g needle to death?  OD on testosterone?  The latter would be unlikely with only one vial I would think.

The only reason I can see for a doctor to require the shots be administered by their staff is if they suspected the patient wouldn't follow correct dosing or if they felt the patient was incapable of self-injection.  I know that I would have found a new doctor if mine made me go in every week to do something I can do in two minutes myself.  A phobia of needles is one thing, but what the heck is someone doing making huge decisions like going on HRT if they can't be trusted with their own medical care?  I do know by accounts from other FTM's I've met recently that over regulation leads to people getting street T, and there's some bad stuff out there.

Anyways, about the original question; I self-inject in my thigh.

Guess their main reason is the money then. We don't pay for doctor visits here so I have no real beef. Walk in get shot right away walk out. I dont need to wait for a dr a nurse will take care of it.
Easy money for them lol.

In The Buttocks! Come on let's get it right! Just like the U.S. Army does it (watched too much Forrest Gump) sans the uncaring attending nurse. Nary a "on my nerves" or leak, drop of blood spilt, love the FREEDOM of being able to think about other things! Even being back on Spiro take only 2.5 pills / day!
"But it's no use now," thought poor Alice, "to pretend be two people!
"Why, there's hardly enough of me left to make one respectable person!"
