I will stay 5 nights at Hilton San Francisco Union Square in the upcoming December. I just hope to walk to Wal-mart or Target store to purchase some fashion items that are difficult to purchase here (Yesterday I received two pairs of athletic leggings from amazon.com. International delivery cost was $41.97, and the product cost was $43.18).

BTW, my primary task is educating college and graduate students.

Go to Stonestown. Target Metreon won't be done til spring 2012.

No Target at Stonestown either.  But you can get to major malls outside of SF on public transit.  And there is Macy's, Nordstroms, Bloomies and all that near Union Square.

Another pilot! What license/ratings did you have?

So there is more of us here? . I have missed that.

I have a JAA fATPL CPL+MCC ME/IR

Ratings so far, Saab340 and Airbus 320. Most hrs are on the 340, just started flying the 320 when I had to quit =/.

I am a bit afraid that I will be unable to go back to flying after my transitioning. Or is there anyone here that has been hired afterwards?

I am about to start flying gliders for fun now, and I will probably take up my SEP rating aswell .

I was an airline pilot a few years back, but that traditionally male occupation is a bit hard to combine with a transition so it didn't really work out as I hoped it would.
Now I am studying geology and hope to finish in 3 years. I plan to get my transition done in such way that I can present myself convincingly as female when hitting the job market again.

Personally I say it is either 11km up or 2km down, others say I have fallen from the heavens, hit rock bottom and now I start digging.

I really hope that things will go well for you .

What and where did you fly?

I really enjoyed flying. And the F/As and I used to get along very well, I had lots of fun. Want to go back but I think it is almost impossible =/.


And now I am a farmer, not the best place to be either .  But I will come up with something sooner or later I think.
