A gay couple has given the University of California Los Angeles $1-million to fund a chair in sexual orientation law and public policy. It is believed the program will be the first of its kind in the country.

John McDonald and Rob Wright, of West Hollywood, earmarked the donation to the Williams Project at the UCLA Law School. The men said in a statement that they would one day like to be able to marry.
