I walk my son to the bus stop every morning. Well the last two mornings one of the girls has had her teenage sister walk her to the stop. It so happens that when we both go home after the kids are picked up we walk a short ways the same way. No biggie I thought since its early i wear my sweatpants and hoodie and a hat. That about got me hit with her umbrella this morning for being a creepy guy.  ;D  Not that I ment to freak her out but hey she sees guy so thats good.

Anyone else have anything like this happen. You pass but in a not so good way.

I mean I find it funny to but again not good. I can't say I'd wish to be some creepy guy that scares teenage girls. How would that translate for the MTF ladies here? Is there a way to be a creepy chic  ???

Oh I can't blaime her for wanting to knock out a creep at all. Like I said I tend to be in full sweats and hat at that hour of the morning. Hell I'm kinda proud she almost hit me. I would want my teen daughter to be that smart and watching whats going on. I made more effort to not seem like I was following her today. I will be glad when I can go to gym after I drop son off and not be creepy stalkerish guy haha.

I've had a couple women cross the street, not get in an elevator, and one time a girl freaked out in a stairwell.

If it makes you feel better, my boyfriend freaks people out constantly and he's the sweetest person I've ever known. I don't know if its because he's so tall and beefy, if he's loud or what the hell it is. I have a bad habit of (apparently) carrying myself like I'm always about to kill someone, so I've intimidated people unintentionally a bunch of times. I felt like a total jackass once, this lady was trying to carry her baby off the bus and dropped the stroller, and when I got up to help her with it she looked like she was about to just ditch it and run. I think its funny, but like you said, kind of depressing at the same time.

Yeah. Yesterday at the doctor's office he wanted to listen to my heart so he kept telling me to take off my shirt and I had to awkwardly explain that "I'm female" which made him go like:  :o "never mind".

Yup. Some women will tend to be more wary of you. The really paranoid women with children will keep eagle eyes on you. Especially at night. Girls will sit less close to you on public benches or on the bus usually, etc.

Consequently, I've noticed a fairly quick way to gain back some of that "automatic" trust with girls is to make her think [or make it obvious] that you're gay. Then all of a sudden you're less of a threat because in her eyes you're not "after" what other guys are (supposedly) always "after."

It is just the way things are sadly.  There are a ton of perverts 'n' nasty people out there seeking easy targets and all in places you'd least expect it.  I mean once near one my old high schools in a very nice neighborhood a girl was pulled aside in the bushes, raped, and then killed.  It is just more common for women to be the target of something as they are generally an easier target.

I mean before I started all this I'd walk headlong into the night without fear, do the angry stare at other guys passing near me that I didn't like, I was never even worried about being mugged expect in a really bad area.  That is just the way men are raised because they do have less to worry about.  Now though?  I think twice before going into darker areas, I pay close attention to those eyeing me, I get my keys out ahead of time, I tend to smile at people more often for the passive leave me alone instead of a glare.

Example if you see two people coming down the street and you're a mugger each one on opposite sides.  Now one is a man and another a woman.  Which would you pick as the possible easier target to get your cash?  Which is more likely to back down 'n' give what you want so you won't hurt them on average?  Which one is on average not as prideful on the matter so they will avoid fighting to just be okay or well built etc?

Sadly it is the way society is and it has taken women ages to get this far in rights, etc.  However in general they are still seen as the weaker sex, guys scoff when a women challenges them to something, etc.  A women gets her keys out before the car while you get your keys out at the car.  She will check the back of the car for someone in it and you will just start it up and roll.

I wouldn't take it personal it is just the differences between what each sex has to worry about when walking down the street, on a job, salaries, in a relationship, etc.  Heck, once someone I used to know tried to help a lil girl at a water park on a tube but she refused the help even with the current pulling her away on the lazy river.  Then I came up and she let me pick her up right away and place her back on her tube without question.  It is just the way the two are different and raised.  You can be a perfect saint of a man and still make a women nervous walking down the sidewalk near her.

Unfortunately, the first thing that showed me I was passing was when I would smile at a cute little kid or a baby, and the mother would give me a dirty look. Presenting as a "girl," I'd usually get a smile from the mother, and sometimes she'd prompt her child to wave at me. From about a month on T and thereafter, I'm just another supposedly skeezy guy ogling their children.

I haven't had anything like that happen to me yet, possibly cause everybody that identifies me as male thinks I'm a young teen. However, I have had a very awkward moment at work. One of my duties is to check the bathrooms for supplies and cleanliness. So one day, I was cleaning up the women's bathroom and an older lady (about 50 or so) walked in and gave me a dirty look and held the door open for me to leave.  :icon_chillpill:

I've always dressed kind of punk, with a lot of black, and my ears are stretched over half and inch, so even when I was presenting as female I would get looks like that.  Clearly, everyone who wears black is also a drug addict who is going to beat them up and steal things, so obviously I'm a threat.  Havn't noticed much change since I started presenting as male and passing more often.

There was 1 time I can think of when I passed in kind of a bad way.  I was wearing black skinny jeans and a black hoodie, smoking out behind the loading dock to a theater where I was working on the stage crew.  Wasn't really wasn't really trying to pass, and I'm pretty sure I wasnt binding.  These guys walk by and yell to me "Dude, people are going to think your a chick if you wear pants like that!" and then walked away laughing.   I thought it was hilarious that they were trying to insult me with that comment.

ive had the same thing happen to me apparently a teenage girl smiling and waving at a little kid is fine but when a teenage boy does it its weird. however on the other hand if im with my little brother or one of my little cousins girls flirt with me a ton more.

This pisses me off so much. It's just so unfair and wrong. My boyfriend has a huge soft spot for kids, and whenever we're out and either of us smile at a kid, or they wave at us, or anything like that, half the time we get death stares.

LOL I'm not pretending to be gay.

Like a month ago, I was waiting at a bus stop with my eleven year old girl at about 9:30 at night, and a huge guy walked straight up to me and very aggressively asked me what I was doing out so late with this little girl. I told him we were going home, so he decided I was her brother and lectured me about how it was good I was watching her, but she shouldn't be out with me at night.

Lol then my daughter, who has no filters or common sense, told the big scary dude all about how her mom was becoming a man. That didn't really help a lot. I was happy when the bus pulled up.
