I feel as of the past 3 weeks. There's a definite younger presence on Susans. Most of all are below 35 and we're becoming the majority of the board.

Discuss or rebuttal.

It seems that way to me, although we should all be giving a bit of respect to those who are older. They've been alive longer and have the most wisdom after all. Generally, anyway.

And isn't that a good thing in the long run? In my eyes that appears to be a sign that younger people are coming to terms with themselves more easily when it comes to gender.

Then again, I'm a youngin', so what do I know?

Respect is an earned right and is not given.

Perhaps I'll rephrase my statement to "Everyone should be given a bit of respect unless they prove they are not worth it." Yes, I believe that's more what I was trying to get at :).

Best rephrased: I have taken over this board.

Don't worry, I'm a kind tyrant.

I have seen more younger than older people here though ...

i think it has to do with a couple of things:

The world is becoming more accepting of trans and alternate gender identities. It's not the best right now, but compared to the 70s, 80s, and 90s today has gotten better.

Also, the internet has been a great catalyst for all people to learn more about transitioning and to be involved in more internet related trans topics. It seems that younger people uses the internet, on average, more than someone...say...in their middle ages.

So I think that has something to do with a larger younger group.

I don't see that :/

All I see are more teenagers supporting gay pride, thanks to people like Lady Gaga and the "It Gets Better" project.
No one knows what the ->-bleeped-<- transgender people are, but they "support" it.

Sure, nobody knows about it, but people aren't instinctively repulsed by it.

I found nothing but acceptance after coming out in high school, with one exception: the 60-year old principal.

Things are getting better, and it's myopic not to realize and appreciate it.

I think that's regional. Where I'm at, the younger crowds who embrace gay and lesbian pride also cheers on trans people. But I totally see where you are coming from. I know some places where your scenario is sad but true

Why bother taking over a board when there's a whole world and even a universe out there?

Hey, I have a good reason for being here. I don't want drama with my boyfriend so I go on message board forums. Still beats ending up in a strangers bed with the taste of tequila.

That requires like COBRA and the Decepticons and even then the leadership is ?

The universe isn't sexy enough for me...and it won't ever be.

Though my last hookup was pretty nice. ;)

Well, the current Empress of the Universe is Stinky the Iguana

(Stinky's look alike to hide her identity)

And I'm not sure that she is ready to give up her seat just yet
