Here's my story. Essentially, I had top surgery and Southwest airlines completely screwed me over in terms of health and everything else. I am attempting to get this out in public because what they did was not okay. Especially with them 'officially' being affiliated with LGBT.

Im sorry you went through this

However, this is the biggest reason why I stress to have someone accompany others when they have to fly to get surgery done. I had some relatives that learned the hard way that having someone go with you is worth the extra money for their plane ticket and the hotel room when trying to solicit help from others to help you at the spur of the moment regarding the stewardess', baggers, etc.

I did have someone there with me, but they came from another state as nobody in my home state could go with me. She was able to escort me onto the initial plane and everything, but could not go further than that.

Thank you for sharing. I don't know what action you should take, but it's always useful to know what companies to avoid. I hope you get some kind of vindication.
