Hate is something I know is more powerful than I am, and that I'm not smart enough to handle it either - so I avoid it. Lots of stuff I dislike, but the difference between hate and dislike is that hate seeks to destroy and dislike is 'say your peace and walk away' stuff. But hate is very powerful and in the end destroys that which hates just as surly and completely as that which it seeks to eliminate. It's why it gets listed as one of the Seven Deadly Sins (hate, greed, sloth, pride, lust, envy, and gluttony) and often as the first one - because all of those things can overcome the people they inhabit and debase and degrade and eventually destroy them. Luckily for me, sloth was my deadly sin so I never got around to checking out the rest, though I've given lust a lot of thought.

Awe hell, annoying them is the fun part. One of the true downsides of hate is that it tends to be far more powerful than the person it inhabits and thus makes them so easy to control and manipulate by others. All you need to do is find their buttons and then you can play them like a Bach fugue on a pipe organ.
