So my town is about to get 8-12 inches of snow over the course of today and tonight. Apparently it's the first time it's snowed in October in over 100 years. I also have work during what's said to be the brunt of it.

There goes my plans for the weekend, not to mention Halloween! It's really pissing me off. I'm the one who has to shovel it all too!

Anyone else suffering from this freak snowstorm?

Ha! I'm near Boston, hopefully the ocean will keep the snow totals down here. I'm not shoveling anything this early, no matter how deep it gets! It will melt.

You're so lucky! I wish it would snow here. I love the cold. :D

It's snowing here as I type this. But not enough to stick to the ground.

We got some snow, then it left, then it snowed, then it left again, and currently it's pouring.. and has been all day...

It's snowing at both my houses. Up to 5 inches for the Philly area and up to a foot in Jersey.

It's Global warming climate change. Quick tax snow shovels!

Thank God for South Florida.

Update: It's five minutes past the dogs walk and still raining here in the Boston area. What a cold miserable rain it is, too.

I wish it would snow here, so I could plant a chair in front of the window and sit in it cuddled up in a comfy blanket with a cup of hot chocolate in my hands and some lovely background music playing.

That's life right there.

With Tasmania's weather it's likely to snow in the hills any time.  We are heading for Summer and there is still lots of snow in the Highlands.

I live in north central (closer to the east in the Great Lakes region) USA and $*^% (sorry, I'm not in the mood to swear this early in the morning) in mid October happens. I've even seen it $*^% in mid April.

I don't think it has anything to do with climate change at all honestly. Americans have only been documenting weather patters for a short time relatively speaking. This could be what was normal for the 1700's for all we know yet there's people out there trying to make a buck of the bleeding hearts, pimping out this thing called Global Warming.

I'll worry about it when the Earth Mother comes to my kitchen table and says "hey look, you guys gotta start doin something different here or we're gunna have to show you what's what".

Not a flake on the ground here, if it snowed overnight, it switched back to rain and washed it away.

Boston city is awesome(!); I definitely want to move there someday. :) ~The people are so nice.

Heh, I remember seeing these two stylish Japanese girls comfortably walking,
wearing nothing but tiny crop tops, miniskirts, pantyhose, and ankle boots... :icon_blink:
Meanwhile, I was freezing my things off and my lips were uncontrollably shivering...
I had to constantly duck into random shops just to warm up!

~Next time I go, I'm wearing thermal underwear and recommended everything.

Nice here, high 70s today, 80s yesterday - clear, sunny, the weather is fine as far as I can tell.  As it turns out you don't miss winter at all.  Ever.
