Pet names? Ok. Grab a cuppa and have a seat, we'll be here a while!  :D

I have sort of a revolving door atm and am known to be something of a "rat rescuer". Yes, RAT rescuer! They are cute and snuggly (at times) and smart and really very clean!

Since I started two years ago I have gone through a few older rats from the shelters and re-homings.

Currently I have 5. They are Dax, Jadzia, Ezri, Wookie, and Ewok. (Points to who notices the theme here.)

Previous ones that are across the Rainbow Bridge are Dumbledore, Nellie, Kira, Icheb, T'Pol, Janeway, Tiberius, and Guinan.

Mostly girls, Tiberius was my lone male, and he was fixed because rats breed faster than rabbits! I won't bore you with the long tale of tails as to how or why I got the first or the others, but they are my babies and i am their willing slave.

My cat's name is Toby.  I've had him for 14 years, since I was a teenager and I am 31 now :)  He's been through a lot with me... from moving out of parents house first time, to me getting married, me getting divorced, all my relationships, tough times, happy times...been through a lot with him, too...from his fleas, him getting injured by fighting when he was a stud walking the streets, and when he cost me $500 in vet bills when he attacked a chow and a smaller dog, can't remember what kind it was.. think it was mixed... anyhow, he's now an all indoor kitty for half his life now :)

And here's a picture of what he does best (sleep) lol

Dog:
Sparkie.  My husband calls her doofus and knucklehead and she loves it.  She loves any sort of attention and is such a lover!  Every time we come home she meets us at the door with one of her toys as a present to us for returning safely.

Cats:
Nina.  I refer to as football when she comes to bed and lays on my chest while I try to read.

Patti and Tessa.  Their real names are unpronounceable as they are Whovian and deep math extracts.  When I saw them as kittens in the pet shop they were playing together and I didn't have the heart to separate them.
Out of the darkness, into the light.
Following my bliss.

I am (depending on the season) more or less allergic to furry creatures. This does not mean I don't like them, but it's difficult to be around. It's been this way all my life, worse as I was younger, to the point where I couldn't even be in the same room...

So still desiring a companion I accidentally ended up rescuing an injured snake. And thus began my lifelong hobby/passion of rescuing injured and unwanted reptiles. I'm way down (which I consider a good thing) on my menagerie currently, with my main scaly friend being Argo, a roughneck monitor. I have a pair of long-term abused (prior owner)  ball pythons named Pokey and Gumby. They are doing much better under my care, but will probably never be given a new home.

Argo has the run of my place, and generally plays Godzilla when it's hungry.

Ah, someone of the same heart  8)  All of my pets have been abused rescues, I currently have an Iguana that I've had for nine years now and yes, she is rather good at getting her Godzilla on when hungry  :)

Superficial fanny kissing friends are a dime a dozen, a TRUE FRIEND however is PRICELESS

I used to have a pair of iguanas too.  I referred to it as "Godzilla, the Home Game".  They would climb the drapes and run across the top of the shelves knocking over anything up there.

Speaking of Iguanas, I rescued one from near death many decades ago and he was the smartest lizard I have ever known. For starters, even though he was a full grown adult, I was able to potty train him in just one session. He had to go rather badly, and was climbing the walls of his tank so I took him out, guided him into the bathroom onto the newspaper I had laid down, and gently held him there until he went. That was all it took, after that, I never had to worry because when he needed to go, he'd go to the bathroom...to go to the bathroom. Amazing creature. He *loved* green peas, so much so that I'd have to bury them under the rest of his vegetables otherwise he'd eat only those. I bough so many different vegetables at the local Kroger that they all thought I was a vegetarian. Only thing Big Ig (yes, that was his name, I am bad with names) didn't like, was bananas, which is something that surprised me, as everything I had read said they loved them.
