Even though I haven't found a therapist yet, I will definitely be looking into going into therapy soon so that I can start my transition physically. (Emotionally, I honestly think my transition is going extremely well)
Anyway, I always thought I should wait until starting T to actually get a binder. But recently I had a really bad dysphoric moment and started considering getting a binder for Xmas. I have a very large chest so that's also one of the reasons I thought I should wait until T.

But lately I have seen posts and comments about how binders are dangerous and stuff, which worries me. Especially since I don't have an A/B cup size. The health issues concern me even though I really want to have a binder.
As for where I could purchase a binder, well that I am sure I will buy from underworks. From all the reviews I have seen, they seem to have the best binders.

Now for packers (Does anyone ever feel like saying pecker sometimes by accident or is it just me? lol)...Not exactly sure whether or not I want to get one for now. And by now I mean maybe a Xmas/B-Day thing. I have no idea where to get this from. And since I currently don't have a job, it would be as a gift and I don't exactly know how to say "Mom...I want a packer!" (Though I have joked about that with her and she just looks at me like "You're an idiot" lol I think she gets the joke)

Any help would be greatly appreciated! :) Thanks to anyone who answers. Your insight truly does help.

Do you just want a cheap packer or a STP packer?

What style binder are you looking for? Full or mid length? Velcro, zipper, two layers or three? New or used?

Just some things to think about.

I have been buying the tri-top binder from Underworks for years.  It's a good one, but it tends to stretch and warp a bit after constant use.  I go through about one tri-top every year.  As for packers, IMHO the Packy is a good and inexpensive starter packer.  I think the Packy manufacturer only makes it in pink now and be warned it is quite pink.  It looks real for the penis, but the balls are a bit unnatural looking.  But I've used mine almost daily for 3 years now with no complaints.  Also depending on what underwear you wear etc., the Packy can fade and take on a dark purplish colour.  It actually looks more like natural penis colour since mine has faded vs. that very pink colour it had to start with.  I bought mine from EarlyToBed.

The pics are gone now but I did a side by side of the packy. One with my skin tone make up and the cotton candy pink one. I wear the one with make up all the time with no worries. No mess on anything I wear either. Packy seems to kinda soak up the make up so it stays on. I wash it like normal even but now I don't have to powder it. Doesn't get sticky either.

Honestly I'm not ready for an STP. I rather have that for when I start on T and can actually feel comfortable using the men's bathroom. Though honestly that is something I just want to avoid at all costs. It's the girl's bathroom and it's supposed to be cleaner and some girls are pigs, I can't imagine the men's bathroom lol

But I saw some packers from mango something. Those looked good. But I'm kinda embarrassed to ask for one. I guess everything is just new with my family. Hopefully, once I start on T I  can get some male underwear. God I'm sick of panties lol I know that sounds silly but yeah.

Thanks for the warning! And the link! It's really helpful. Who knew it would be so damn hard to pick out a packer...Anyway I have seen a bunch of videos of guys saying they got the biggest packer they could find and they REALLY regret it. Has anyone had experienced this? Is it way better to get a much smaller packer?

I'm not sure why anyone would want an enormous packer.  Look anywhere at cis-guys naked with a flaccid dick and you will see that most of the time they are on the smaller end of the scale.  Consider that the average flaccid penis is about 3.5 to 4 inches long and you will see that smaller is almost always better.  Another point is that a lot of packers unnaturally "poke out" and give the impression that you have a boner or a semi.  The larger ones would most likely look worse if you couldn't find a way to flatten it against you a bit.  Unless you're a big tall guy or you actually want your crotch ogled then I'd suggest sticking to the smaller size.
