QuoteThen {Stanton} asked God a question, "Why?"

Not "Why am I transgendered?" or "Why did you do this to me?" or even "Why do they want to fire me for wanting to be who I am?"

"Dear God," Stanton prayed, "why did you make me a city manager?"

Did anyone catch Friday's edition of the Daily Show?  Some Muslims were buidling a community center.  Some loving Christians decided they didn't want "those" people in their community so they set up pig races next door for a little neighborly fun. At first it was funny, then it got down right depressing, and then, I was quite ashamed of my country for being such a bunch of racist jerks.

I've been looking for the video but can't find it.

In any case, it relates so closely to what is going on with S. Stanton in Floriday. I am truly comforted to know of so many people who know God's will.... right.

Yes, Cindi, both remind me of the line from Shakespeare's Macbeth:

"It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing"

Oh no... what's missing is all the commentary from the attendees at the races.  Stuff like "Oh no, this isn't religious persecution, I just don't want them next door to me." And "I've got nothing against Muslims, but they should pack up and get out of this country."  You know stuff like that.  The vid was filled with some of the most racist spew I've heard in a long time.
