OrderOfOriah

1)   When did you realize the term transgender referred to you? 2011

3) Have you ever been outed? How? Yes, by facial hair

4) How did your family take it when you came out/ if you are not out, what prevents you?  They refuse to communicate to me for the most part.

5) Are you active in the trans community or LGBT community?  Hell no

6) Who was the first person you told about being trans? How did they react?  My sensei.  He wasn't surprised

7) Who do you look up to? (role models)  My sister Sarah.

How do you deal with being mis-gendered by people? I tell them to either address me as a lady or don't address me at all

9) What is something positive about being trans?  By the time I die I'll have the chance to be both male and female in the same lifetime.

10) What are some of your fears in regards to being trans?  It's goddamn expensive

11) How do you manage dysphoria? Drugs, meditiation, magick

12) What are you doing to stay healthy for transitioning mentally and physically? Eat healthy, exercise, follow a rigorous spiritual path

13) Bathrooms—describe your experiences.  Well the boys room is a hell of a lot dirtier than the girls room, except when you open a girl's stall and there's more blood than a csi crime scene

14) What are some of your passing tips or things you do to pass?  Yep, but I won't share them.  If I had to find out the hard way, you should too

15) How have you embraced your trans identity? Why?  Yes, because to do otherwise would be ridiculous

16) What's your rock anthem when you need to cheer up and why?  Dream or be dead by dax riggs.  For obvious reasons

17) What's your method to bind/tuck?  I don't.  Get over it.

18) How do you feel about the trans laws where you live?  Could give a fuc* less.  I never obeyed or paid attention to laws before transitioning.  Why start now?

19) Describe how religion and your trans* identity may or may not clash. If your parents are religious, how do their religious views impact their perspective about trans* issues?  No clashing whatsoever.  I am god.  I create my own reality.  My parents are Christians.  If they want to keep living a lifestyle that causes them pain, it's their own problem

20) Do you want to be a parent? Why or why not?  Hell no.  The world is overpopulated.  Plus I wouldn't want to pass on these effed up genes, and I wouldn't want to be responsible for causing another human to face the misery of living in this world

21) Your views on the cis-gendered community—good bad neutral? Why?  Neither good or bad.  It's judged on a case by case basis.  duh

23) What stereotypes are put on trans people?  The assumption that we are all confused

24) Who is your favorite LGBT actor/musician/director/artist etc and why?  Myself.  Because I am egotistical.

25) Doctor visits—describe your experiences.  I am my own doctor.  I am also my favorite client.  No complaints here

26) Do you feel comfortable answering questions about being trans if say your teacher/friend/stranger asked you?  Yes.  Anything less than honesty will only continue the traditions of ignorance

27) What goals do you have? Do ayahuasca, get my cock turned into a vag, and die while awake.

Eve of chaos

1. I realized the term itself meaning transitioning gender is an umbrella term. So I associated myself with being transgender when I first started exploring...well transitioning gender.

2. I knew from the start that i would choose Eve. the name has always held special meaning for me. I was saving it for my first female child and when i decided i didnt want kids I gave it to my cat. but now that I'm transitioning I can use it for myself.

3. once almost. i was stupid and told a girl i barely knew over txts. and when i met her for the first time she was super drunk at a party and she asked me all sorts of questions only someone truly ignorant would ask loudly. I walked away and im fairly sure no one heard.

4. my mom is really supportive although she doesnt truly understand. but shes making a genuine effort. my older sister said shed always see me as her brother and that hurt alot...I havent told anyone else but I'm fearing telling my younger brother. hes not going to take it well.

5. not really but I could be.

6. my GF at the time who is now my ex. she wasnt too surprised at the time actually.

7. theres some random youtubers and forum posters that inspire me. but thats all I will say haha

8. so far It hasnt come up too much since I havent presented female a whole lot.

9. you can truly know what it is like to be both genders. it helps you be a more understanding, open-minded person.

10. getting to the finish line and still not passing to myself...

11. tell myself it will get better and be hopeful for the future really...a form of ignoring it.

12. being vegan and straight edge. although id do that if I werent trans ha!

13. none yet...its daunting though.

14. being in the mental mindset seems to make all the difference. If I think i am female therefore i am.

15. its been making me happy. and its who i am. i cant deny that

16. "take it easy" by the Eagles :p

17. so far ive been wearing skirts so its easier to hide that. tucking makes me feel less feminine since im more aware of it between my legs.

18. im pretty ignorant of them  actually...thats probably a bad thing.

19. hasnt really been an issue. I believe in Nature. and if it can happen it isnt wrong.

20. nope. I'm too selfish to care for kids

21. were all people

22. I havent made up my mind of what i want to do. but I feel it can hinder it. just because of bigoted people though.

23. perverted mostly i think.

24. tegan and sara. I love their music.

25. none yet. soon though...terrified

26. depends on how the questions are being asked. as long as im not attacked or being outed.

27. transition wise i assume. well Its my goal to be the best girl i can be.

28. shave...I worry constantly that my regrowth is showing.

29. Empathetic Voracious Enigma

30. heh I could, but id rather not :p

Amaranth

1) When did you realize the term transgender referred to you?

A few months ago, when I realized I didn't have to always be a boy.

2) How did you choose your name, and what names were you thinking about using and why?

I'm keeping my name because it's unisex.

3) Have you ever been outed? How?

An old friend brought it up at our table in a crowded restaurant.

4) How did your family take it when you came out/ if you are not out, what prevents you?

My mom and grandma were shocked, but went along with it, and I haven't told the rest of my family because I always present as male around them.

5) Are you active in the trans community or LGBT community?

If being on this site counts, then yes.

6) Who was the first person you told about being trans? How did they react?

My ex.  She reacted by dumping me.

7) Who do you look up to? (role models)

My mom, Isis (America's Next Top Model), Chaz Bono, a few characters in MLP: Friendship is Magic, Steve Jobs, Sonny Moore (Skrillex), Adam Young (Owl City)

8) How do you deal with being mis-gendered by people?

I don't prod them about it, and for the time being I pretend it doesn't bother me

9) What is something positive about being trans?

I can (somewhat) translate boy speak into girl speak and vice versa.

10) What are some of your fears in regards to being trans?

Hatred & discrimination (obviously), cost, employment, or misery at the idea of doing nothing to transition.

11) How do you manage dysphoria?

Wearing feminine clothes, being in a circle of friends that consists of girls, getting rid of body hair and tucking, using antidepressants.

12) What are you doing to stay healthy for transitioning mentally and physically?

Quit smoking/drinking (or any non-medication drug use for that matter), plenty of sleep, somewhat balanced diet.

13) Bathrooms—describe your experiences.

The few times I've been fully dressed in public and used girls' rooms, I either passed well enough or people were just being nice; I wasn't clocked, and I didn't get strange looks.  I get those in boys' rooms even when I present as male, but I put up with it to avoid possible legal trouble of the other option.

14) What are some of your passing tips or things you do to pass?

Plenty of makeup to cover any possible shadow, optional body shapers, jackets that cover up shoulder width, shaving arms/hands

15) How have you embraced your trans identity? Why?

You could say that, I'm open about it to anyone who asks, and I wear whatever clothes suit me regardless of my presented gender.

16) What's your rock anthem when you need to cheer up and why?

Epiphany and/or A Little Priest - Stephen Soundheim, Sweeney Todd soundtrack; the movie/play as a whole is a great work of art and never fails to put a smile on my face, and these are my favorite pieces from it.

Homemade gaff under tight underwear.

18) How do you feel about the trans laws where you live?

I'm not exactly sure what they are.

19) Describe how religion and your trans* identity may or may not clash. If your parents are religious, how do their religious views impact their perspective about trans* issues?

My grandma is Christian, and doesn't know what to think about it.  I have no religion, which presented no problem.

20) Do you want to be a parent? Why or why not?

I've never been good with kids, but I might change my mind later.  Either way, I can never get pregnant, and according to my understanding currently (unfairly and unfortunately) it's illegal for trans people to adopt.

21) Your views on the cis-gendered community—good bad neutral? Why?

Neutral.  Cisgendered people aren't a community, they're the vast majority of the population, and have nothing in common aside from their body/gender identity situations.

22) Do you feel being trans holds you back from your career choice?

I haven't tried to find employment since I accepted myself as trans.

23) What stereotypes are put on trans people?

25) Doctor visits—describe your experiences.

I've never gone to a doctor presenting as anything but male.

26) Do you feel comfortable answering questions about being trans if say your teacher/friend/stranger asked you?

Completely.  As far as prejudice, I approach it as innocent until proven guilty.  If nothing else, the willingness to ask questions is a step away form closed-mindedness.

27) What goals do you have?

Complete transition, college degree, find a career, find love, live happily, and go out with a bang.

28) What is something you have to do everyday or else you feel like your whole day is off if you don't do it?

Listening to music on my iPod.

29) Write out something positive about yourself using the letters of your name. Ex. Your name is Bob so B-Beautiful O-Outstanding B-Boy

O - Open-minded
R - Realistic
D - Dutiful
A - Athletic
N - Noble

30) Write a haiku about being trans!

Two selves divide us
The body versus the mind
Which will be conquered?

Lily

1) When did you realize the term transgender referred to you?

The first time I thought about wanting to be a girl was when I was 4. I was giving my mom a hug, and I thought about how I wanted to grow up to be just like her.

First time I really fully admitted to myself I was trans was in 2008, but I didn't get up the courage to come out about it to anyone until December of 2010. I told my therapist and parents in June 2011 and got my hormones a week later.

2) How did you choose your name, and what names were you thinking about using and why?

Lilies have always been my favorite flower, so it was natural that I would call myself Lily. The only problem is that it's really really similar to my sister's name, so I may use it as a middle name and pick a different one for my first.

3) Have you ever been outed? How?

Not by others, but I've had to divulge my medical information a few times since I started hormones. My dentist found out this way.

4) How did your family take it when you came out/ if you are not out, what prevents you?

They took it a lot better than I thought. I made some "just in case" plans to move in with a friend if things went wrong, but my family were really ok with it.

5) Are you active in the trans community or LGBT community?

Not really... my best friend is trans but I don't know any others.

6) Who was the first person you told about being trans? How did they react?

I first told a girl I met in Lord of the Rings Online. She asked if I was a guy or girl irl, and I said I wasn't sure how to answer. We talked about it for hours and that talk really helped me to come to terms with who I am.

7) Who do you look up to? (role models)

The person I've admired most was my former partner, Emily. She had such a loving, gentle heart and I want to be just like she was.

8) How do you deal with being mis-gendered by people?

I try to be understanding of it, especially when people don't know me. It hurts inside, but they are not doing it out of malice.

9) What is something positive about being trans?

It's taught me a lot of tolerance for other people and lifestyles. I'm not sure how I would be if I were just a cis straight guy. Both my brothers are a little homophobic, and I wouldn't want to have turned out like that.

10) What are some of your fears in regards to being trans?

My biggest fear is not being able to find a partner and being alone in life. This would be worse than not ever being passable.

11) How do you manage dysphoria?

I manage by spending all my money on electrolysis. If I can get the beard removed and my scalp hair done nicely, that will be a massive load off my shoulders.

12) What are you doing to stay healthy for transitioning mentally and physically?

I'm a vegetarian and I've lost over 50lbs this year. I'm hovering around 150lbs, and would ideally like to drop another 10, but overall my health is good. I very rarely drink anymore, usually only when celebrating something.

13) Bathrooms—describe your experiences.

None so far. I sometimes go in the women's room at the public bathrooms near my home, but I've literally never seen a single human being use either room there ever.

14) What are some of your passing tips or things you do to pass?

I don't pass at all. :(

15) How have you embraced your trans identity? Why?

I had to, it's the only way I could keep living.

16) What's your rock anthem when you need to cheer up and why?

Whatever music is playing at the electrolygist's office.  ;D ;D ;D

17) What's your method to bind/tuck?

Cellophane and duct tape.

18) How do you feel about the trans laws where you live?

I live in California, so they're better than most.

19) Describe how religion and your trans* identity may or may not clash. If your parents are religious, how do their religious views impact their perspective about trans* issues?

My parents took it really well, far far better than I would have expected. I was expecting my dad to have a talk with me about it, in which case I'd have to give the "I'm not really a Christian anymore" speech that I've been wanting to avoid.

20) Do you want to be a parent? Why or why not?

I think I would be a good parent... I just need to find someone willing to have a child with me. Ideally I'd like to raise them full time, but economics are what they are and that may not be possible.

21) Your views on the cis-gendered community—good bad neutral? Why?

I've been mostly pleased by the level of acceptance I've been shown. No one has been nasty to me so far.

22) Do you feel being trans holds you back from your career choice?

I think my problems with coordination and reflexes (I'll never be able to drive) hold me back a lot more than being trans.

23) What stereotypes are put on trans people?

I think an underused stereotype is that transgirls work in computers. I have met 2 in person, both of them are in that field, and both have told me there are a lot of transgirls who have similar jobs. I used to know a 3rd transgirl online who worked in retail but she was really good at programming and fixing electronics.

24) Who is your favorite LGBT actor/musician/director/artist etc and why?

Not sure, I don't really follow celebrity news so I don't know who is and who isn't.

25) Doctor visits—describe your experiences.

Always pleasant.

26) Do you feel comfortable answering questions about being trans if say your teacher/friend/stranger asked you?

Depends what the questions are. I don't really like talking about my penis. Anything else is fine by me.

27) What goals do you have?

1. Meet a nice girl who accepts me.
2. Finish transition.

If I had those two things, I would be content in whatever else may come.

28) What is something you have to do everyday or else you feel like your whole day is off if you don't do it?

SHAVE!!!!!!!!!!
Talk to my friends and ask them how their lives are.

29) Write out something positive about yourself using the letters of your name. Ex. Your name is Bob so B-Beautiful O-Outstanding B-Boy

Loving
Imaginative
Lonely
Yearning

30) Write a haiku about being trans!

Haikus are easy
but the ones I write devolve
into self-reference.

Kentrie

Hmmm, it looks like I'm the first guy to do this.

1) When did you realize the term transgender referred to you?
Someone called the cops on me for threatening to kill myself and I got sent to Highland Hospital and I talked to my roommate about my problems and feelings and she explained to me what Transgender was.

2) How did you choose your name, and what names were you thinking about using and why?
My birth name is Kentrie, and that's a very rare name that no one I've ever talked to has heard before and they assume I'm a guy and I've seen a cis-guy with that name so I decided to keep it after that.

3) Have you ever been outed? How?
I was staying with my dad last summer and we were walking down the parking lot at Wal-mart and he yelled at one of my friends "This is my daughter!" ugh, I wanted to knock his brains out with something.

4) How did your family take it when you came out/ if you are not out, what prevents you? My mother was completely awesome about it, my grandma hates it and my dad ignores it.

5) Are you active in the trans community or LGBT community? No.

6) Who was the first person you told about being trans? How did they react?
My mom. She just said, "Oh okay, at least you're not gay" she reacted worse when she thought I was a lesbian.

7) Who do you look up to? (role models)
My mom.

8) How do you deal with being mis-gendered by people?
It never happens.

9) What is something positive about being trans?
Nothing. My penis envy is getting in the way of positive things.

10) What are some of your fears in regards to being trans?
That some group of redneck ->-bleeped-<-s around here will beat me to death.

11) How do you manage dysphoria?
I smoke, drink, and sometimes do pills. Other than that I'm constantly miserable.

12) What are you doing to stay healthy for transitioning mentally and physically?
Nothing. I want T, I don't care if it rots my disgusting female reproductive system out, no one will know because I don't allow people to touch me sexually, thank god for my lack of a sex drive.

13) Bathrooms—describe your experiences.
Went to a Toys R Us bathroom once and a guy was doing his business in a stall next to me and I was leaning cause I didn't have an STP and my pants were pulled all the way down and I couldn't pee so I sat down and still couldn't pee so I got the fu** out of there and held my bladder for another hour. I bet he knew something weird was going on.

14) What are some of your passing tips or things you do to pass?
I just bind and wear a packer, I pass mostly because I'm with my mother all the time and they think I'm her very young son.

15) How have you embraced your trans identity? Why?
I don't understand this.

16) What's your rock anthem when you need to cheer up and why?
I listen to late 40's and 50's music so I don't know what was considered rock back then.

17) What's your method to bind/tuck?
ACE bandage. It doesn't hurt me at all, I don't even realize I have it on.

18) How do you feel about the trans laws where you live?
I don't know what they are.

19) Describe how religion and your trans* identity may or may not clash. If your parents are religious, how do their religious views impact their perspective about trans* issues?
I'm very Christian and I don't care how it clashes with everyone else. My mother is more religious than me and she doesn't care, she tells me I'm her son.

20) Do you want to be a parent? Why or why not?
I would love to have a kid, I would hate to have it myself but I would love to raise a kid.

21) Your views on the cis-gendered community—good bad neutral? Why?
I'm jealous and hate cis-men. Even my friends. yet, they're the only people I'm friends with and don't treat me any different. I just have serious penis envy. Lol.

22) Do you feel being trans holds you back from your career choice?
I dropped out of High School so I'll probably never get a job.

23) What stereotypes are put on trans people?
Freaks, Demon possessed, Workers of Satan.

24) Who is your favorite LGBT actor/musician/director/artist etc and why?
All my favorites are straight cis-people.

25) Doctor visits—describe your experiences.
There's not anything to explain, I've never had a problem.

26) Do you feel comfortable answering questions about being trans if say your teacher/friend/stranger asked you?
No. I refuse to talk about it and my friends prefer to just think of me as a guy so they never ask any questions.

27) What goals do you have?
Get on T, Get top surgery, Be able to love someone besides this crazy bitch I've been in love with for far too long which I'm starting to think is impossible because I've lost the ability to be attracted to anyone, which is as cruel as being Trans.

28) What is something you have to do everyday or else you feel like your whole day is off if you don't do it?

Dane

#8
1) When did you realize the term transgender referred to you? 2011

2) How did you choose your name, and what names were you thinking about using and why? Well, I've been contemplating Dane Brian lately, because Brian is my Dad's middle name, and Dane is pretty close to my birthname and sounds cool.

3) Have you ever been outed? How? I've never been outed. :3

4) How did your family take it when you came out/ if you are not out, what prevents you? I have only told my mother. She wants to get me a therapist, but does not think I'm old enough to make the decision to live as a male. She also tries to get digs at me and stuff.

5) Are you active in the trans community or LGBT community? Yep, I'm in my school's GSA. Sometimes we go to LGBT events and stuff. But I'm not out to them either, so I'm just there as a straight ally.

6) Who was the first person you told about being trans? How did they react? This girl at my school, who's not even a good friend. I told her because I was on the verge of a break down. She had no idea what it was, and is still foggy on the concept of being trans and gay.

7) Who do you look up to? (role models) GG Allin, Pyramid Head, Vladimir Lenin, Slenderman, Anakin Skywalker, Ender Wiggin, My Uncle Gary, My friend Matthew and Rozz Williams.

8) How do you deal with being mis-gendered by people? I'm not out yet, so I have to deal with it every day. I pass as male, and when people call me him out in public, my friends all correct them, and it just sort of sucks.

9) What is something positive about being trans? Well, this forum is pretty awesome, and if I wasn't trans I wouldn't have ever found it.

10) What are some of your fears in regards to being trans? Being rejected by my family, not being able to get top surgery, having a hard high school existence, being alone forever...

11) How do you manage dysphoria? packing, binding, writing, telling myself that soon enough all this will be over and I can look the way I have always envisioned, positive thinking, and lots and lots of nutella.

12) What are you doing to stay healthy for transitioning mentally and physically? Doing a lot of walking, and a little bit of free hand training at home. I'm a pretty healthy person for the time being.

13) Bathrooms—describe your experiences. Well today, incidentally was my first bathroom experience, per se , but I got a really weird look while I was washing my hands by a girl in there. She looked and saw my flat chest and was like o.O

14) What are some of your passing tips or things you do to pass? Don't try to be something you're not, people can tell.

15) How have you embraced your trans identity? Why? I don't think I've really embraced it yet, but I have accepted it, and I will always take pride in who I am, no matter what that entails.

16) What's your rock anthem when you need to cheer up and why? Oooh this is a hard one! Right now, H. ~Tool Because I like me some Tool =D

17) What's your method to bind/tuck? High impact small sports bra with a suspender strap around it seems to work well and allow me to breathe.

18) How do you feel about the trans laws where you live? I don't know much about trans laws where I live (MA). Hmm, I think it's time to educate myself.

19) Describe how religion and your trans* identity may or may not clash. If your parents are religious, how do their religious views impact their perspective about trans* issues? My parents are not religious in any type of infringing way, and I am agnostic, so nothing really clashes.

20) Do you want to be a parent? Why or why not? I do not want to be a parent, because the responsibility of caring for another human being, who relies solely on me to bring them up well is a little too much.

21) Your views on the cis-gendered community—good bad neutral? Why? People are people. I view them as people. Judging a group as a whole isn't something I'm super comfortable with.

22) Do you feel being trans holds you back from your career choice? I have no idea what I want to be, so I can't answer this question.

23) What stereotypes are put on trans people? We all want bottom surgery, we all want hormones, we all fit into one cookie cutter of our gender, we all fit into two genders, ect.

24) Who is your favorite LGBT actor/musician/director/artist etc and why? Buck Angel. He's just so badass!

25) Doctor visits—describe your experiences. I don't like the doctor. Nothing out of the ordinary as far as experiences go.

26) Do you feel comfortable answering questions about being trans if say your teacher/friend/stranger asked you? If I was out? Totally. People really need to be educated on this stuff.

27) What goals do you have?  I want to go to college, come out, and get T, not necessarily in that order.

28) What is something you have to do everyday or else you feel like your whole day is off if you don't do it? I need to use the computer, or else I become an irritable mess.

29) Write out something positive about yourself using the letters of your name. Ex. Your name is Bob so B-Beautiful O-Outstanding B-Boy Badass Radical Awesome Doughnut Dude >:D

30) Write a haiku about being trans!
Called Him by stranger
Friends say that's a girl epic fail
I facepalm inside

King Malachite

1) When did you realize the term transgender referred to you?  Watching a documentary on t.v

2) How did you choose your name, and what names were you thinking about using and why? I haven't changed my name yet but when I do it's going to be from an anime character because anime is an integral part of my life but the names I am considering are Malachite, Neflyte, Maxfield, Darien, Raphael, Sergei, Spike, Vincent, or Vicious.

3) Have you ever been outed? How?  I have been outed in chat rooms before (this morning actually). A mod in another chat site called me a "->-bleeped-<-" and I told my mom I wanted to be a man and she told my sister but we don't speak about it and I haven't officially told her I'm "trans"

4) How did your family take it when you came out/ if you are not out, what prevents you? In a nutshell my father told me it was a waste of time and money so focus on other things and that he knows 50 other people "like that" but he will still love me.  My mom knows I want to be a man and I guess it saddens her but we haven't had a heart to heart talk about it yet and the thing that prevents me from it is that I still live under her roof and she may cut my internet access off to not be influenced.

5) Are you active in the trans community or LGBT community?  There are none of those where I live.

6) Who was the first person you told about being trans? How did they react?  I think it was an old time friend and she just said "you're not trans...."

7) Who do you look up to? (role models) Haruka Tenoh, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Sandman (WWE), Chaz Bono

How do you deal with being mis-gendered by people? I'm still living as a girl and if now someone calls me a he I don't mind as opposed to before when I was in denial I would get mad.

9) What is something positive about being trans?  I guess the ability to form a deeper relationship with a lover although I wouldn't know that part first hand really

10) What are some of your fears in regards to being trans?  Going broke transitioning, constant harassment by family and society, people never being able to see me as male, no improvements to bottom surgery or surgeons becom "complacent" in their work, needing a Bachelor's degree to get a good job just to pay for surgery when I only want an associates degree, never being able to be intimate with someome

11) How do you manage dysphoria? I repress it and ignore it and drown myself thinking about Sailor Moon or playing video games

12) What are you doing to stay healthy for transitioning mentally and physically?  Trying to keep a positive attitude, eat less, get more active (still working on that), lose weight

13) Bathrooms—describe your experiences. I wish I could pee standing up at a urinal naturally but I use the female's room.  I get in and get out.

14) What are some of your passing tips or things you do to pass? I'm currently living as a female so that doesn't apply yet but I am trying to deepen my voice some and walk more manly.

15) How have you embraced your trans identity? Why? Wouldn't say so much as embrace but accept it because it's not going anywhere anytime soon.

16) What's your rock anthem when you need to cheer up and why? Not too sure what you mean by rock anthem but if it's basically what I say to myself then I just say "I'm going to get what I need either in this life time or the next" because if I don't transition before I die then I'm going to transition in the afterline so to me I'm going to transition.  It's just a matter of when and where.

17) What's your method to bind/tuck?  I don't bind currently and I have nothing to tuck.

18) How do you feel about the trans laws where you live?  Let me put it this way, a couple of years back a young man named Matthew was shot in the head for being gay a few counties away from me.  The man claimed he didn't mean to kill him and since we don't have any official hate crime laws he only got about 12 months.  Also I don't think you can change your gender in your license in my state so lets just say I don't think I'd be a fan of our trans laws here.

19) Describe how religion and your trans* identity may or may not clash. If your parents are religious, how do their religious views impact their perspective about trans* issues?  I still struggle with religion for myself Christian wise but I am finding that my personal spirituality comes from observing and listening to nature and have nature guide the way with somehow incorporating anime into my beliefs.  That brings me spiritual peace.  My dad thinks its wrong although I asked him to point it out exactly in the Bible where it states it is wrong and me told me no "start with Genisis".  I told my mom I'm going to have my uterus removed and she called it an abomination to God so I can only imagine how she feels about me being trans.  My sisters are both ministers so I pretty much KNOW how they are going to feel.

20) Do you want to be a parent? Why or why not?  I only want to be a parent to 2 cats.  I can barely take care of myself let alone kids.  They are too expensive for me and I would rather use that money to play video games and go to anime conventions and cosplay and cheesecake.

21) Your views on the cis-gendered community—good bad neutral? Why? Neutral because I wish I could have been born a natural guy or even be happy with being a cis-gendered female.

22) Do you feel being trans holds you back from your career choice?  I'm pretty sure it will whatever I decide to do.

23) What stereotypes are put on trans people? That it's just a phase or trend or just want attention or that ftms just want male privllege and have penis envy and the list goes on

24) Who is your favorite LGBT actor/musician/director/artist etc and why? Max from the L Word because he introduced to me deeper the meaning of being transgendered.

25) Doctor visits—describe your experiences.  None yet

26) Do you feel comfortable answering questions about being trans if say your teacher/friend/stranger asked you? Teacher-no Friend-depends on who it is-usually I don't mind if it's an online friend but local friend I'm not too sure Stranger- Chances are no

27) What goals do you have? To get top and bottom surgery and be 100 percent satisfied with both while also being financially stable.

28) What is something you have to do everyday or else you feel like your whole day is off if you don't do it?  Think about how sex would be as a cis-gendered male

29) Write out something positive about yourself using the letters of your name. Ex. Your name is Bob so B-Beautiful O-Outstanding B-Boy No- too much work sorry

30) Write a haiku about being trans! No

1) When did you realize the term transgender referred to you?
When I first came across the term online in college.

2) How did you choose your name, and what names were you thinking about using and why?
I haven't chosen one yet.

3) Have you ever been outed? How?
Sort of, after having been in a car accident my Mom found some female clothing in my room, but after having been in the hospital for over a month I didn't feel like dealing with the drama so I denied everything and told her I was going to get rid of everything. I didn't, but I have regretted not coming out then ever since.

4) How did your family take it when you came out/ if you are not out, what prevents you?
I'm not out yet, fear of rejection prevents me from coming out.

5) Are you active in the trans community or LGBT community?
No.

6) Who was the first person you told about being trans? How did they react?
N/A

7) Who do you look up to? (role models)
No one.

8) How do you deal with being mis-gendered by people?
I haven't had to deal with it.

9) What is something positive about being trans?
Can't think of anything.

10) What are some of your fears in regards to being trans?
Being rejected by my family, that I'll get beat to death, being alone forever, you know, the usual.

11) How do you manage dysphoria?
Not very well.

12) What are you doing to stay healthy for transitioning mentally and physically?
Nothing.

13) Bathrooms—describe your experiences.
Go in, use it, and leave.

14) What are some of your passing tips or things you do to pass?
Don't have any.

15) How have you embraced your trans identity? Why?
I've accepted it privately, but I've still been struggling with coming out publicly.

16) What's your rock anthem when you need to cheer up and why?
There's too many to name.

17) What's your method to bind/tuck?
I don't have a method.

18) How do you feel about the trans laws where you live?
There are none, so not good.

19) Describe how religion and your trans* identity may or may not clash. If your parents are religious, how do their religious views impact their perspective about trans* issues?
I don't really know their views on trans people, which is part of the reason why it's so hard to come out to them, all of the unknowns.

20) Do you want to be a parent? Why or why not?
I'm not sure, I don't really think that I would be a good parent, but I have a history of thinking the worst of myself.

21) Your views on the cis-gendered community—good bad neutral? Why?
Neutral, I guess. I don't really have any views on the cis-gendered community as a whole. I mean how do you judge a whole group of people based on only one thing they have in common.

22) Do you feel being trans holds you back from your career choice?
It probably will once I come out. Though I feel the fact that I'm overweight might hold me back more since most people assume overweight = lazy.

23) What stereotypes are put on trans people?
I think everybody here is already very familiar with these.

24) Who is your favorite LGBT actor/musician/director/artist etc and why?
I've never really thought about it, so I'm not sure.

25) Doctor visits—describe your experiences.
N/A

26) Do you feel comfortable answering questions about being trans if say your teacher/friend/stranger asked you?
If someone knows I'm trans and they are open minded enough to want to learn more by asking a few questions, I have no problem answering.

27) What goals do you have?
Start and finish transitioning. Find someone who can love me for me and doesn't care that I started out a boy.

28) What is something you have to do everyday or else you feel like your whole day is off if you don't do it?
Shower.

29) Write out something positive about yourself using the letters of your name. Ex. Your name is Bob so B-Beautiful O-Outstanding B-Boy
No thanks.

30) Write a haiku about being trans!
I don't do Haiku.
