What made you happy recently?

Ayden

So to start out with, I was sitting on my couch, glaring at my thesis that I deperately need to start. In my usual fashion, I jumped up and decided to make coffee. While I was doing this, I start reflecting on all the things that have made happy recently.

I can fully be myself at home. I can bind and pack and finally feel some degree of comfort in my skin.
I feel freed from a lot of worries that I have had for years.
I have a wonderful, understanding partner who is just as excited for me to start transitioning.
I found Susan's.
My grandmother is awesome.
I was able to successfully teach a class while hocked up on narcotic cough medicine.
I finally switched to french press coffee and it tastes so much better.
I will be finally be done with my undergraduate degree in May.
And my snake, Viktor, ate with no fuss even though he usually prefers to give me the run around.

So, my question to everyone is what made you happy recently? What continues to make y'all happy?

I love my bf (that is an everyday happiness).

I have bought a couple of hamsters. They are really sweet, I love them and they make me smile.

I was given a new uniform at work.
...

Lots of little things.

I like your post.

I found out this month several of the animal shelters here are doing "Pets for Vets". So I will finally be able to get an older dog like I want.

Finding out that the Doc I'm seeing and surgeon I want to see here are covered by my insurance. So now need to look into getting top surgery covered.

Being called "gentlemen" and passing as male in my dress clothes when I'm out with the guys I work with. And they say nothing about it even though they know me as "female self".

My wonderful boyfriend being so supportive and saying really adorable, sweet things.  :)

My first week at a new job going very well and I think it will all turn out great.

Being on my own for the first time and doing fine with it.

I recently discovered Riesens which are a fantastic chocolate treat which make me quite content.

Also, Cannabis makes me really overjoyed.  I don't know what I'd do without it. [well, probably be a wreck of a ->-bleeped-<- in therapy as opposed to a happy high ->-bleeped-<- with no therapy]

Discovery of the Peecock STP made me quite happy as its an STP system without a stupid medicine spoon [or similar apparatus] sticking out into ones "business."

a chance for a couple days without a test looming in the near future..... and my download of the original The Legend of Zelda [NES] on my room mate's wii.

I solemnly swear I am up to no good.

I'm misgendered a lot at work even though my employers know I'm trans. I came out to a coworker and her response was probably the best I've ever had.

I have been talking to my ex-girlfriend, who's my bestfriend. We stopped talking, but now we're talking more often, and I haven't been happier in a while.

1) got all A's and B's on my 1st quarter report
2) my girlfriend told me she loved me about a million times today
3) got to chill out and de-stress after school by going to my best friends house and watching The Walking Dead

I made muffins and they taste amazing
I was out with a bunch of people from uni, and it's been kinda awkward for a while since all my current friends know me by my girl name, all the first years know me by my boy name. Everyone knows that something's up. Anyway, by the end of the night it got to just me and two first year friends, and they asked which I prefer. I hesitated, but finally just said it out loud that I prefer them to use the male pronouns and name. I'm pleased to finally be making more steps forward.
And some more non-trans stuff, I'm researching and writing a super interesting essay on the collapse of the USSR. Makes me happy to have so much fun with school.

I did some actual useful work for someone other than myself and my daughter today (data entry for a few hours for a good organization).

I'm making progress at digging through my house and paperwork and clothes and getting rid of as much as possible.

And I still have great bunny slippers.

I recently joined a website that is in no way related to trans-stuff and somebody came out as mtf. And everybody on there was really supportive and nice towards her. There doesn't seem to be any transphobia (at least not any noticeable) on that website. That made me happy. :icon_biggrin:

^ That's awesome. I had a similar experience on one of my favorite forums, it was amazing.

Hm...buying a cd for one of my best friends as a surprise "I'm sorry for being a basket case" gift is awesome. I can't wait for her to be all "Wtf is in the mail for me, oh god its bad news its ser-OHGODITSBIFNAKED!"
Yesh. Making my friends happy makes me absolutely jovial.

-My boyfriend is being his adorable self.

-I'm watching Bully Beatdown. It's like Mayhem found my childhood bullies all grown up and is beating the hell out of them ;_;! (and I not so secretly want Mayhem's assmeats >.>...<.<...>.>...)

-I FOUND POP ROCKS! They were among all the crap in my room :'P. This is better than the time I found a cookie in my bed sheet right before bed @_@!

-Thanksgiving is soon, and I'm going all out like usual @_@! I do all the cooking that day :'P.

-I found someone who actually knows how to cook freaking bamboo shoot. I live in a predominantly Latino neighborhood, so it's a good find :'D.

-Played Pokemon Dream World for the first time in months. I really need to get to beating that 8th gym leader, by the way. I keep forgetting to @_@.

-Evil fortune cookies :'D.

1. Came out to friends at sports club, had a bit of locker room fun with the guys.
2. Went to a job interview in a suit and tie, and got the job!
3. Finally changed my name on Facebook and feel fantastic even now! :)

You are using the guys locker room.  What surgeries have you had? How long on T?  I have been in the guy locker room once to pee and just walked through.
