Study probes prostate cancer link to birth-control pills

"There appears to be a link between oral contraceptive use in populations and the development of prostate cancer in those populations," Fleshner said.

The authors emphasize that their research is very preliminary and they are not trying to draw conclusions about cause and effect. Still, they say their finding should prompt further consideration of the idea that birth control pills are fuelling prostate cancers.

As for how women's contraceptive use could be affecting men, Fleshner says it's possible that synthetic estrogen is being excreted into the women's urine, which is then contaminating our water supply.
When you judge others, you do not define them, you define yourself.

Estrogen is not the only med that get in the water.
But its prove that the water purifying is inadequate

BlonT,
can't remove hormones from the tap-water - no this far.
Just can save you 1mg E / day, so?

Drink lots and save... :-)

I'm not surprised honestly.
But then again, I greatly scrutinize all the health problems that come with a packaged, processed, and chemically enhanced world.

Well, they need to put MORE in !!!   We need something to curb "road rage"
And I couldn't think of a better product.   It just might slow some rev heads down.

Be safe, well and happy
Lotsa luv

Our tap water smells like fish, and not even tasty ones.  I think a few estrogens are the last of my worries if I tried to drink that stuff.

Fluctuations in male hormone levels are known to cause rage, road or otherwise.  My brother is on T for this.  I do the traffic, um, speeds, but it is the women 60% of the time who pass me!
There are more than hormones in the water supply, but the stronger drugs as well.  My cousin, a USGS chemist who does the water testing has found those drugs and the residuals of the processing of those drugs in the waters.   The ones that are called xeno-estrogens are still being classified.  Not much is known from these compounds, but they are the result from waste from other factories other than pharmaceuticals.  These may cause developmental problems in small children of both sexes.  The water treatment plants will never filter these things out completely due to the volume of water that is consumed.
