Kia Ora,

::) How many members are NOT here for personal support ?

::) What I mean by this is, are you living a normal post transition life [with or without surgery] where you've slotted into society as your affirmed gender and no longer still struggling with dysphoria of any kind, and the reason you come to the forum is out of interest[to stay in touch with the community] and or to offer support to others who are just starting out or are part way through their journey and have struck obstacles[similar to what you had struck] along the way....

Now that you're your true self is your life somewhat mundane/normal ? Or are you still struggling with the remnants of past dysphoria ?

I'm under the impression for some trans-people dysphoria is and will always be a part of their lives[an unshakable shadow so to speak], not necessarily a major part, but it has the habit of flaring up every now and again...

::) I guess in a nutshell what I'm trying to gather is how many members on transitioning had also left their dysphoria in the past along with their former male/female identities ?

I was told there was going to be a drawing with fabulous prizes.  Was that just another lie?

I'm here for support!! ;D
Kia Ora Fiona,

::) It's good that you're here for support, Susan's place generally provides good support, however I'm interested in finding out about those members who are not here out of 'need'...

Just out of interest what are the local support sites like in the land of OZ ?

Yep, pretty much the same here - yet still working on the 7" vj depth item.
Though this needs different 'support' to achieve, I do realise that, he he.

I'm more or less adjusted so I don't really come here to get support lately. On T, have legal name and gender changed so it's no longer much of an issue.

But I don't want to leave because even though I'm not very close to you all, I like a lot of you. XD It's a really nice community on the whole in my opinion.

I'd offer more help but I really don't know what I should be doing.

I dumped Facebook for this site.

I'm here so I won't feel alone.

Kia Ora Silver,

::) I'm glad that you have finally found peace....

::) Sometimes just a few words drawn from experience can greatly help others, no doubt you have in some way helped others just look at the amount of +s you have collected...

What?  There is no drawing?  No prizes?  Damn this is worse then when they made me the chief economic adviser and told me there would be no math.

I'm interested in reading other people's stories, as most historians are.  Hell, I spend years and years - and still do as I can find them - reading diaries and letters.  It's like a window to the soul.  And, as any historian knows, reality is much stranger than fiction can ever be.  I can share some of what I know with those that trying to find the way, and I like sharing.  And I can learn - or at least relate - to what is happening in other places with other people.  It's the hard part of living in the SF Bay Area - as time goes on, you forget the rest of the world isn't like this.  And it's good to remind myself of that.

It's part of my life, only part, but a critical part, so it feeds that.  That is a need to a degree.

Besides if you have a bunch of people showing up for support don't you think there should be some people there, who are there to give support.  And that's a need to.

I originally came for support.  I stayed because someone promised me cake.

I am still waiting for my cake.

Hey Gnawty, just like the prizes, the cake is a lie.
