What is the most beautiful in virile men is something feminine; what is most beautiful in feminine women is something masculine.

Mr. President

Cool beans, I'd never met any other ftm parents, just heard about the ones in the news and stuff

I have a 7 year old daughter. She's so incredibly girlie and I have no idea where she gets it from because it's certainly not from me. :) I admit, the whole transition and dealing with classmates parents thing makes me nervous as hell.
  •

Mr. President

That's funny :) I am glad I don't have to deal with his schooling for 5 years! That makes me a bit nervous too

I usually try to stay away from parents but I'm learning if I hide my son will think something is wrong with me. So screw the close minded parents. I am joining the FBI, fathers being involved, part of the PTA. They meet on Sat and help do stuff around the school.

The FBI sounds super legit! Never heard of anything like that around here.

The last school he was in didn't have a father specific part to the PTA like this school. I'm just glad to be able to be involved in his school more now. More than just with his homework. I like that I've also met several guys here and my boy loves to hang out with them. He's learning that there are more guys out there like me.

My kidlet goes to a small private school, and we know all the parents. Things might .... get a bit awkward. There aren't really isn't anything like a PTA or anything. Just another one of those figure it out as I go along things I guess. Of course, having a significant amount of social anxiety does not help matters any.

That's really awesome. It's hard to imagine helping mine with homework since he's so far away from being that age but it's exciting to think about. I definitely want to be involved in his school too. That's good that he sees you're not the only one!

@Sindo, I am hoping the best for you!! :)

That's an awesome combination. She can defend herself. I would be proud.

Years ago I was at the mall and the esclater was broken, so they were steps. This kid was going up them and when he was in the middle it started working again. Turns out it was the down esclater. He starts running up them yelling "they will never get me alive!"

If i ever aquire children, I want them to be like that.

Lol that's pretty awesome. And I love that you use the word "acquire." ;D

I was going to link to a Mitch Hedburg bit, but I couldn't find it. Here's this instead:

LOL I didn't how what word to use. Since there's no way I would go the Beatie route. Adoption is really expensive, I could buy a decent car or hypothetical futuristic awesome surgery.

Awww
...then that led me to a little baby duckling getting eaten by a fish. T :( hen a dog getting stomped on by a deer  :'(
But all that was worth it for this
