I have been shaving my legs and arm pits on permanent basis ever since I went fulltime.. like must women do.

I still shave with a womans razor and shaving cream. this fine when i still was part time, however I need to shave at least 4 times a week to keep then smooth.

I have seem a lot of shaving products/methods on the market.. to space my shaves out.

Which i you ladies recommend.

Veet hair removal cream is pretty effective for me but it smells pretty bad so i make sure i have time for a long shower and scrub my legs hard after using it.  Try not to get it on your hands too much as they go near your face quite often and seriously that smell is horrid. I tend to veet once a wekk and shave once a week with a 3-4 day gap inbetween. Works for me ymmv

I bought an epilator (Braun Silk-epil 7681) last year for hair removal; it was on special at the department store in the city centre. It works very well, but it sort of hurts, so sometimes I wear something long rather than do the epilation if I don't feel like it :-\

I'm going to second the epilator recommendation.  I use it on my legs, chest, arms, and pits, usually touching up a little once a week.  If I want to have an area completely smooth for an outfit, I clean up with a razor.  It's way faster than anytime I shaved with the razor alone and none of that pesky stubble grows immediately in.

And yeah, an epilator hurts.  Mostly the first time you do it because it's when your hair is the most dense (unless you've waxed in the past and then, you probably know what to expect for pain anyway).

Sounds to me like you're shaving too often and quite possibly stimulating growth.  As long as my legs look good, I don't worry about how they feel unless, of course, I feel they're going to be touched  ???  (unlikely scenario) or if I am going somewhere important that I need to look my absolute best for.  Otherwise, I typically shave like, every four days.  Anyway, I can't agree more with the recommendations of an epilator.  A good epilator will run you around $80 and last for a long time if you take care of it.  Plus, all the other perks; finer hair, less dark..etc.  Though epilating takes longer than shaving and you have to build up your pain tolerance as it hurts for the first few times, it is a great alternative.

I use an epilator as well, and it's been great for me.
It does hurt a bit though, and it takes longer to do, but on the upside your hair will become thinner and sometimes lighter overtime, and it takes longer to grow back as well.
It's also technically a bit cheaper I suppose, considering the cost of razors and shaving cream.

I shave my legs every other day (unless it's Winter and I'm wearing pants...). Otherwise I get stubbly. I switched to using baby oil instead of shaving cream and it makes my legs really moisturized and smooth. I also use a bit of lotion afterwards and it calms down the irritation. Every other day is kind of a pain in the ass, but I don't mind too much. You could also try waxing!

I'll add my vote to the epilator group, and I also clean things up with a razor when I want them especially smooth, except that I use hair conditioner instead of shaving cream. Put it on with your skin dry and if any parts seem to dry out or need to be more slippery, just wet them slightly. Works a charm and stays smooth for days.

By not shaving at all!

Letting it grow free during the winter is kind of liberating.

No ty, i remember these two hippie chicks i bought weed from at a music festival a few years ago that didn't shave their legs and underarms....it was really gross.

I like veet because it's fast and does a good job.  There is a good neutralizer that you can use afterwards, to make sure sure you don't burn yourself.  It gets the smell off you too, but I agree, the bathroom reeks for hours afterwards.

Waxing works better, but takes longer.  It doesn't really hurt after the first 50 or so times, and never hurts as much as an epilator.

A battery-powered, vibrating razor works alot better than a standard one.

Please read my novel, Dragonfly and the Pack of Three, available on Amazon - and encourage your local library to buy it too! We need realistic portrayals of trans people in literature, for all our sakes

Well, I'm with you on the underarms, but my leg hair is kinda underwhelming regardless.  Either way, I give props to anyone who can do the no-shave look.

Sorry, I had to.  I'm glad it works for you, honestly, but I don't think I ever could do that.

Now this is funny...!

+1 on waxing, I've found my legs are less sensitive to pain than my chest + tummy.
...I think for most of us it is a futile effort to try and put this genie back in the bottle once she has tasted freedom...
