Lump under nipple (post-op)

Hey guys,

So I am 8 months post-op and today my left nipple feels very hard, tender and painful. I just had a closer look and there is quite a large, hard painful lump that looks like it is growing under the nipple. I don't think it is a pimple, maybe a cyst?  Has anyone else had something similar to this after surgery?

I'm going to see my surgeon again on the 5th of December.

My mom had something similar after having a breast reduction. I believe it was internal necrosis. It has hardened and become a permanent part of her body now. Her doctor I think told her to not worry about it and it would go away, but in reality she should have had it dealt with.

I would definitely get this looked at. It might be nothing, but if it's tissue death internally I think you'll want to have your doctor check it out.

I hate going to the dr, there's always something wrong with me.

I would email the doctor photos or wait it out and if the pain became excruciating see a doctor. It's only 10 days.

Is it getting worse every day?

It started on Saturday, it's Monday night now. It's bigger, it looks like I have a third nipple, no joke. It's really itchy and looks like it's a little black on the inside...I should probably go to the dr before I squeeze it and do damage, it really wants to be drained whatever it it.

So I haven't been able to go to the dr because work has been too busy, I noticed it seemed to scab and I just touched it so I could see the scanning netter and it popped...alot of yellow thick goo, then blog (a fair bit I thought). So I pushed the rest out and it was thick white stuff that comes out when you squeeze an awesome pimple.
It's black under the skin now (not sure if that's blood) so I'm gonna go to hospital I think...

Very good idea, even if it a cyst that needs draining it need to be done properly. Septicaemia is not nice, and can kill.

Sounds like a cyst, and I'd definitely go to the ER since it popped and looks black underneath.  Let us know how it goes.
