Hi Tristan,

Congratulations. You must be over the moon with joy. I'm sure anyone that has lived with such a long waiting time in front of them like you, will handle the pain without a problem. In fact I think the waiting is more painful than the procedure.

I've just finished reading the accounts of Inna, and it just proves that attitude is everything in life. Attitude also determines your altitude.

Wishing you every success in up coming procedures.

Be safe, well and happy
Lotsa huggs
Catherine

9 days will be hard.  It will be painful, exhausting, and you will not be functioning at full capacity.

I went back after 13 days, though, with no special accommodations, and didn't have any issues.

Are you totally sure you require FFS? You seem to have an extremely beautiful image if that is you in the avatar, you look just as feminine IMO as did one of my sister's old best friends, and she was a very beautiful girl. Very luscious lips, a classy nose, soft eyes, and both a smooth forehead and very soft, smooth jawline. Excellent wig choice as well. I would truly make sure that your surgeon really only recommended what he feels is right, and to make sure he may not be taking advantage of any insecurities you have - I would also caution that African American surgeries are sometimes very hard for many surgeons to accomplish (mostly with Rhinoplasty, because of thicker skin tissues, and because the African American aesthetic is not always what surgeons are used to achieving) and always make sure you're choosing a specialist!

I've been an adviser for many years on multiple plastic surgery boards, and just from experience, I feel that all of your features line up amazingly and present a very female image - not only that, but it looks like your features all have developed in accordance with one another - not one of them seems to overpower another, all presenting very smooth and soft touches. I would be honest and say that I've seen girls who could be your twin on various modeling shows. Maybe other pictures highlight features that may need changed, but just judging from your avatar, I would rate you as one of the luckiest gals here in both in terms of passablility and beauty! Everyone here always says "We're our own worst critic", but the simple fact is half the people here need all the FFS they can get. I would truly say you're one of the few who doesn't seem to need any. However, if your surgeon has truly dedicated himself to you (has provided morph photos as a prediction of the result, covered the risks of having a ethnic skin texture, and has possibly worked with patients like your aesthetic before) then it should be ok.

Just know that even the FFS world, so many surgeons take advantage of patients, promoting procedures that will only make a face look unnatural and fake, just to make a buck. Please make sure you're choosing your procedures carefully, and that you have a pretty clear idea what you are supposed to look like afterward. Many things just aren't reversible!

Hi Tristan,

ehm, FFS pain.....it CAN be quite the opposite. Completely numb for a couple of months that is.

My scalp was, the sides of my face etcetc.

The sensation gradually returned completely within a year time.

Mind you: complete numbness isn't fun either. It's  a very strange sensation and  it makes your head 'feel' huge. Plus you'll be very, very aware of your surgery for months up to a year.
