Beautician, why your tweezers so angry?

Gah!!! For the second time ever I forked over 15 bucks to have some girl wax and tweeze my eyebrows! After the waxing she must have plucked 30 hairs from my eyebrow forests!

Seriously, it was like my eyes were swimming.

Anyway, I got everything going on except for facial hair removal, and that's a bi*** because I feel like I never will be able to afford it, and I will have to look partially yellow forever.

I'm excited about boots! I just picked up some Call It Spring combat style brown leather boots. I know they're my style because the ex says they're ugly, but I love them! (say what? what the heck are you talking about Em? - Y'all ain't ever had a bad break up?)

Also: I survived a robbery threat at the store where I work last night. This stuff sucks. I have to find a new job.

I guess I just want to drop a little bit about my mundane life on ya.
Loved.

:o Well first of all thank God you're safe!

Tweezing and waxing and eyebrows in general just suck. Mine are awful and I can't figure out how to get that perfect, stray-hair free shape. >.<

Are you going to get laser hair removal or electrolysis?

Yeah...getting your eyebrows done is something that has to be done and it's painful for the first 6 months.

I've been doing mine for 11 years.

I'm gonna get laser.

These fools out where I live are always threatening to do something stupid.

It hurt like heck! I can't go without it though, looks like I found my lady. She did them perfect!
Loved.

I plucked my eyebrows as a boy. Almost anyone can do it...If you hit up posh salons and stuff.

A decent wax pot is one of the best investments anyone can make. After a while it kind of feels good, like scratching an itch!

I get my brows "threaded." Heard about it here, went to a mall and saw a hall kiosk doing it ($17), told the lady there I wanted "women's brows."

She did a SUPER job, it's very relaxing, not nearly as shocking as waxing...that mall is too far for me normally, so I did a google search for local thread shops...found one with East Indian staff (they're the ones who invented and/or perfected it), and for $10 I got my women's brows again!

Neither of them even batted an eye when I told them what I wanted.
...I think for most of us it is a futile effort to try and put this genie back in the bottle once she has tasted freedom...

Laser hair removal seems like a much better option that electrolysis. It doesn't hurt very much for me, it's very quick, and best of all you don't have to let any hair grow out to get it done (thank God!).  :)

I'm beginning to think I have to go a bit thinner on them, however. After she was done they simply looked average!

Next I think I'll go in to see what they can do to bring some geometry to my hair. I dunno.
Loved.
