I am scheduled for FFS/BA with Dr. Z on the 29th.

I'm 5'11" and right now 240lbs.  I'm desperately trying to lose weight, but between estrogen and an antidepressant I'm been going backward, I've got it stalled and am slowly creeping back down.  Still not at the biggest I've ever been, but I'd love to lose ~75 more pounds.  Right now I am a small 38B with ZERO cleavage possible.  A 40 band lets me use the middle hooks without marks, but 40b is as small as you can easily find and it is too big in the cup.  He is suggesting around 700cc which he thinks will put me at 40d.  I may or may not have more growth, but I am planning on losing a lot of weight.

Given my height and (over)weight and the fact I have fairly large shoulders is that appropriate or should I tone it down a little?  He is much more of an expert than me and it isn't a cost difference so I'm inclined to just follow his advice, but I don't want to look too big.  Although given my wife LOVES Dolly Parton maybe that isn't such a bad thing. ;D

700 CC? Are you sure he said that? That might get quite heavy for the back, but if that is truly what you want, then go for it.
Just remember that you will probably need to do some regular work-out with that size, to keep your spine troublefree.

I think Kimber James had 700, by the way, but cannot swear on it.

Anyway, no-one here can really advice you what to choose, as the only one that can tell what you would be truly happy with, is you.

is that 240 pounds fat or muscle or heavy bones?

I take 40b at 171 pounds and I'd like to get down to 150 but seem to be well stalled from bad ankle stopping much exercise.

hard to imagine what will happen if you get the big implants and then lose lots of weight?  could go very saggy or look good.

surgeon will let you look at forms and try them in existing bra to get an imprssion of final result.

I don't know if this helps but I have 375 CC's which comes out to a 36B and I'm 5'5 with broad shoulders. I wish I would have gone bigger because they look small when you compare them to the size of my shoulders and width of my back. For your height, weight, and broad shoulders you say you have, I think 700 CC's sounds appropriate.

Yes at first he was saying 750/775, but today I he suggested 700/725 (left is bigger).  He still is only working off of pictures and over the phone though.

He is suggesting that saline is just fine since I already have some breast tissue.

He said he was keeping in mind my height chest/shoulder weight and I think part of that volume is meant to push together instead of just out (so I can have cleavage).

I just don't have a good feel for what 700cc really means.  I saw some comments that 189cc was a full cup size, but that was for 34/36.  Since I'm targeting 40 is that really accurate?  If so then it will be a very full DD or a small E.  I don't really want to go that big, but I also don't think a cup size at 40 is the same as one at 34.

Any weight loss will be a very long and slow process and not ultra rapid.

Well to be honest my weight goals aren't really realistic.  I suspect down to 175 will be no fat left at all because I do unfortunately have a big bone structure.  When I was cycling hills and long distances regularly I was around 185-190 and still had some fat issues, but most of the weight appeared to be more muscle based.

I am 5' 10.5" and small bone structure and I think 700cc on me would make me look like pam anderson. I had a roommate who had large breasts DD or bigger and she hated them and wished she had never gotten them that big. I only have AA's after 2 years of HRT and I am giving up hope that I will ever get to a B. I don know how many cc's it would take for you to get to the C range and that is what I would go for.

that is alot. i know at 5'10 and 170 (racing down to 140) they do not want me to go that big n the 27th. but good luck on your choice. i know for body sizes and all it makes it diff. for everyone

I'm assuming you have a large breast width diameter (BWD) which means the implant itself will have to have a larger diameter than average which means the total volume (CCs) will need to be greater.  So, that should be taken into consideration when comparing CCs with another woman who has had implants.

My advice would be to try on some rice sizers (google how to do this) and wear them around for a while and see if 700 works for you.  If you go under the muscle, which Z usually does, that will take away a little on the size.  And, if you lose weight, you will lose fat around your breasts, but of course the implant size will remain constant.  So, that's something to keep in mind.

For me, I got 375 silicone high profiles and I went from an AA to about a C.  Some days I wish I would have gone bigger.  It's more common for women to complain of not going big enough than of going too big.  But it all depends on what YOU want.  Good luck with your surgeries!!

a point to bear in mind with implants is that unders will give impression of being bigger due to having the pectoral over it to give a wide look that an over may not give.
the pecttoral has to be stretched up to get the implant in and will settle back and press down on the implant so it may be a while before size finally settles.
then any workout will make the pecs increase etc.

try the bags of rice or similar to be sure you're going to be happy when you wake and see Twin Peaks on your chest.

I'm going to follow up for anyone else my size and considering larger implants.

I'm post op day 15.  Right now I'm wearing a 44 surgery bra.  With this bra the slightly over 700cc implants do not look abnormally big.  Sure they are big, but consider I have a very large frame.  5'11" and wider shoulders.  In the end taking the surgeon's advice was the right move for me.  I also now have cleavage, that I have never had before since they were so far apart and the easiest to find somewhat good fitting bra preBA was a 38B.

It was all in perspective, a petite 5'4" girl might look way over done with 700cc, but an almost 6' one with a large frame looks mostly normal (maybe a touch on the larger size, but isn't that the point ;))

Jeneva and Tristan,

I hope the large implants have worked out for you.  I am still a long way from it, but I am fairly certain large implants will be suggested for me as well.  I am 5'11" and weigh... well a lot.  I'm working to drop to 240, but due to my muscle mass, that would put me at about 10% body fat.  I certain hope that when I start HRT I will get an inverted conversion from muscle to a little fat in the right places  ;D

One point to think about is not the front view but the side view.
If you hav edone any mal ework or working out in your teens your body may have a big top and adding big boobs will look ok from the fron but from the side will look odd.
my 42/32/39 looks fine from the front but I'm aware that from side my bum isn't big enough and basically I'd like about 6 inches on bottom measurment but I don't want to try eating to put fat on it or going for bumplants so I'm stuck.

yesterday I was at a party in a nice slim sheath dress and was well aware that although I measure uo to make lots of women envious I don't have a proper feamle shape to get away with sheath dressses.
soon be warm enough for loose maxi dresses though.

I went from high school football, weights, and competitive martial arts to 15+ years of physical labor.  At least now I have a desk job.  I'm hoping HRT will really help with losing unwanted muscle mass.  I'll just have to see how I measure out with weightloss and HRT.  Right now I actually have the opposite problem from a profile view with 50" hips and that's not where I am carrying any of my extra baggage   :'(

I'm 5'11" too and you can see my current weight in my signature (218.4 this week).  I've always had desk jobs.  I tried to do the body building thing for about 3 months, but I let a co-worker talk me into a lot of supplements and they really messed with my head.  I felt so wrong that I was getting snippy and snarky and finally Shannon actually asked me to stop.  Once I had an excuse to give him about stopping I gladly stopped.

Now having said that I'm not totally muscleless.  I'm still able to heave around 6.5 gallon carboys filled with wine and toss 50lb feed bags.  If I lost no muscle as I diet then I'll end up around 10% body fat at 165, but I really doubt I won't lose any muscle since I'm looking to lose another 63 more pounds.

The 700cc for me is actually looking to hit 40D which is what Dr. Z suggested.  Originally after getting the surgical bra off I was needing 42DD (only bought one because I knew it was partly swelling), but right now I'm wearing 42D (a pair).  However I've noticed that one of them is actually a bit big in the cup so I may be able to drop to 40D eventually.  I was wearing a 38B (on the last hook) because it was too hard to find 40A before.  So it looks like he was pretty accurate in his calculations (700cc + 40A = 40D)

Shannon seems to think it looks proportional still.  And my laser tech actually complimented Dr. Z on his work and said it was done well and his sizing was great.  I should explain that I'm having laser done there and don't just normally expose myself to strangers ;)

Bra sizing is as pain as the vary so much despite lotsa standards to work to.

here in UK we can go to M&S high street chainstores to get accurate measure and try on and I do because I've gotten fed up of wrong fitting bras.

I just got a mail order catalogue with gorgeous new season bras in floral satins and stuff but only way to get one that fits would be to order three - one under what is right size, one that should be the right size and one the next size up and in theory one of them should fit nice...but I can't be bothered to do that.

There is going to be a prog on telly this week about bras and stuff and it seems that there is one town in China than makes nothing but bras so that should be interesting to watch...the gay guy reporter got into a very silly schoolboy fit over the moulds for making bigger cup bras.

I'm glad that all worked out well for you :)

Currently my band size would be a 48 (or more :-\).  At this point point I am doing my best not to get disappointed about that.  I'll just keep focusing on what I can get from weight loss, then see what happens when I have spent time on HRT.

Very true and it can vary a lot from one bra style to the next.
