Hello all,
Idk what else to do or where else to go.  I'm looking to find a good surgeon that is trans friendly
I went to a obgyn  this morning and was very uncomfortable.
The surgeon kept addressing that I was biologically female and he would
Have to do some research.  I don't think I'm comfortable going with this plce
Just to hurry and get the surgery done.
And also it was a all female clinic so woman were looking at me suoer crazy.
Any advice would help

Hey, I am on a sub>-bleeped-< called /r/childfree (I don't know if it's again the rules to link it) - they have a sidebar full of doctors who will perform sterilisations. I have no idea if any are trans friendly, but I know they will perform surgeries for people wanting to be sterilised. It's worth checking it out. I hope you can find somebody to help

When I was searching for a surgeon, I sent out emails to many local hospitals to see if they had experience with trans men and/or if they were willing to see me. Most said no based on their religious affiliations but one location in my own small city was cool with it. I was their first trans patient and they dealt with me as well as I could've hoped for. I recommend sending out emails first. You might have to travel a bit if you live in a smaller area.

tvc15, glad you found a dr for your surgery near to you.  How long ago was you surgery, any problems or things one should know before having the surgery. Thanks for responding and helping.

I'd say definitely go to someone trans friendly who will listen to you. I had problems with this myself and was actually refused treatment for being trans. I sourced an LGBT resource centre in the nearest city who had some contacts with trans friendly surgeons, and found someone who would take into account the research I had done myself and took seriously what I was experiencing of my own body (I had severe pelvic pain due to atrophy of the female organs). She was great, took out all the stuff, and the problem was solved.
