Of all the things there are to do on this planet, there's only one thing that I must do- Live!

pantera is heavy/thrash metal.  slayer are thrash.

there's nothing wrong with death metal.  it's just another genre.

Actually it's very interesting genre..

I've been listening all kind of music : Elvis, Stray Cats, Rainbow, Dire Straits, U2,....
And eventually worked as DJ 92-97. Never actually had enough time to listen old school metal, trash or death until recent 2-3 years with my son. Our latest finding is Kataklysm.
But my sons favorite is Nile as it has just amazing drummer :D

For me it's just a genre. And getting into a new genre is a very interesting trip.

What I want to say... in this world there is so much really good music.
You just need to find it by yourself.

It's hard to know who will be the next Elvis, Michael Jackson or  Madonna. They all have something special which can't be easily copied...

But don't trust the tv, radio, record companies which are just doing the ->-bleeped-<- to get all your money making short time "idols"  :P

lmao, bluegrass.  yeah....

i don't much listen to metal any more, when i do it's usually prog or post, or sludge.... devin townsend, isis, riverside, porcupine tree, etc.  i used to be really into nu-metal, i'm just never in the mood for it.

gotta say, i'm a massive NIN fan, but most of his stuff isn't metal.

I've never really liked much Death Metal unless you count Opeth as Death Metal and that's all I got. Give me Thrash/Speed and I'm good to go, but I do need a little Enya to break it up a bit. Evil never dies and swear to the gods of hell fire that Enya was the lead singer for Otep.
