Katia said something a while that really made me think. It was something to this effect:

"It seems to me, for someone to make you feel insulted they need your permission to do so."

exactly! i  find it based in [my personal experience] that the only people who can make me feel bad were people I gave that power to.  furthermore, there will almost always be someone smarter faster or better at whatever. the important thing is to find out who you are and be that person, no compromise. also learning to have confidence and calmly but confidently speaking your mind can help. believe in yourself, that's all it takes.

This has been on my mind so I feel it is only right to apologise for jumping to the conclusion that the Christianity slams were against all of us. Lord knows I slam "them" enough myself. (to defend us)

Words of wisdom indeed.  Honestly Katia, I did like that prayer.  Anyone who reads the the Atheist's Prayer may wrongly assume that you are mocking the Our Father prayer in the same exact way that Laveyans mock the Catholic Mass.  But  no, the words are changed yes, but simply to reflect the POV of an atheist.  Besides, you are sooooooo right when you say that it takes our permission to make us feel less or inferior than others.  My grandpa would have loved you, for that is how he used to think.

it's a prayer if you know the meaning of the word [prayer]:

a prayer is not necessarily made to a god; it could also be made to an object of worship [any object you choose]  i chose my [brain], so it is a valid prayer.
