She's the same age as me and we live somewhat close together, we live in the same state, I live in NYC and she lives near the border to pennsylvania. Im not sure how long of a drive that is lolz.
Even in death, may I be triumphant.

That's so awesome!  :) :) :)

I have a trans friend too, kinda, but she is really far away... 4 hours by train, only met her once. It was worth the trip though. I don't really have anyone in my area to hang out with though which kinda sucks.

It helps to actually be able to meet someone in the same situation in real life.

Sharing something like this can definitely help make people close friends.

I'm really happy for you! Hope she's not too far from you :)

That's awesome! I met my BFF almost a year ago on on this site and we have spent a total of about 60-90 days of that time together and probably talked well over a 1,000 hours on the phone and on video chat. I have never been as close to ANYONE in my life as I am with her and I hope that everyone here can find a companion like that, that you are just so in synch with.

It sucks that she lives 15 hours away by car but we have found a way to spend alot more time togeether and travel as well! :-)

Having the support of a community like Susan's is great. But, having a transfriend IRL is even better. That's not to knock this site, but there's something about the face-to-face real-time "real world" interaction that just can't be beat.

Congrats!

Ditto    +1

I'm so happy for you Rebecca.
I have come out to a few friends by don't have anyone I can "relate" to personally. The gender centre near me stopped 'Wednesday night drop in' just as I started to go to the centre, so I'm a bit stuck at the moment.
Still.... It's great to hear positive news.

Awesome!!

Love

Jenny
