Just back from the clinic, nothing to worry about and staff seem very friendly.  Pretty busy with clients of all ages, from those who pass totally to those that need a bit of work!  I came somewhere in the middle.  Next appointment in July.  So, after years of indecision, stress and depression, I am finally, formally on my way.

July can't come round soon enough.  Oh, and the worst thing about the day was the blood test.

Who did you see?
Who's your next Assessment with?
To those who understand, I extend my hand
To the doubtful I demand, take me as I am
Not under your command, I know where I stand
I won't change to fix your plan, Take me as I am (Dreamtheatre - As I Am)
I started out with nothing..... and I still have most of it left.

I saw Dr Linehan who patiently listened to the nervous drivel I often spout.  Next appointment with the Senior Medic Dr Davies.   I was actually suprised at my lack of nerves as 18 months ago I would have been a quivering wreck.  I suppose that is the main test, that you are confident in yourself and sure of your future.  One thing was certain, the spread of ages and looks shows that we are as diverse as any group on the planet.  It also confirmed to me that this is the right time in my life to transition, in fact, I don't know why I've waited so long.

I had Dr Davies as my Primary and Dr Lenihan as my Secondary.
Dr Davies is really nice.
Yeah, there's a wide range of people at CX GIC - not everyone in that waiting area is there about gender stuff as the general mental health patients are also there.

Pippa,
You are a "Go Girl." Between now and July, build your confidence and self esteem and leave them lying in the aisle when you return.

Congratulation. be safe, well and happy
Lotsa huggs
