A foot and a half of perfect snowman building material on the ground.
I had the day off because of it. So I decided to take advantage of the medium
and create something beautiful. So taking the snow from the sidewalk and
the driveway, I made a huge pile in the front yard, 20 ft from the street.
As I worked, people going by stopped to watch, a few taking pictures.
Six hours later, stood a six foot high by eight foot wide,
detailed "stone work" archway, with turrets on each side.

On my way out the door the next morning,
there on the snow covered lawn were tire tracks leading to
chunks of white rubble. Upon the turret which remained upright,
I scrawled, "BLESSED BE" and then trugded off to work.

Returning later in the afternoon, as I stood staring at the top half of the turrent
which had been upright a few hours before but was now laying on the ground,
the neighbor lady came out and said a group of teen-agers had walked by and
one of them ran up into the yard and did a full body slam against it.

That just sux.

"I have always wanted to have a neighbor just like you,
I've always wanted to live in a neighborhood with you.

So let's make the most of this beautiful day,
Since we're together, we might as well say,
Would you be mine?
Could you be mine?
Won't you be my neighbor?" - Fred Rogers

Well, bless you for making something nice with the materials Nature gave you. I'm happy just to get the Snow Humans In Training, or S.H.I.T. out of the driveway! Hugs, Devlyn

evil teen agers, nest time make it out of cement and then see what truck it was that went trespassing on your lawn.

Why someone had to destroy your artwork we will never know, and now no pics either.

We get a few malicious 'Children of the Corn Dog' around here where I live  >:(  Fortunately, most of them don't last too long before they get in trouble for their monkey business

Sorry they messed up your ice sculpture  :-*

I could load up a semi-tractor with all the snow I have in a millisecond.

He is probably a very sweet little boy who enjoys torturing cats and bullying young children. So be nice to him and just break his arms and legs in one place.

Why are you sorry?

Silly is good when applied appropriately.

What's a few hundred/thousand miles, on a bicycle, between friends?

How 'bout this? I'll get on my bicycle and meet you half way.

The specialty up here is called "Stump Wadding".
Turned my stomach the first time I was told about it.

Yup, we finally got snow, and 30 below temps to go with it. I'll bring that part too if you like. I won't stick around for it of course. But if it is just the snow...well I could help build a better mouse (teen) trap on your lawn.

maybe Virginia has a bike with a trailer to help haul it over.
