I was a regular visitor on a crossdressers site and someone mentioned Susans.org in a thread. I didn't look at first, but once I did I was hooked! How did you get here? Hugs, Devlyn

Google.

I was searching for information about gender identity as I was beginning to explore this concept. Susans was one of the first page hits and I've been here ever since.

Fourthed?

I'll also say that this site looks more "professional" than another major TS site.  Professional isn't the right word, but the other site design is almost childlike and way way too cutsy.

I came across some "true" transsexual's blog and they were bitching about this place, so I figured what the heck, take a look. I looked and then it was a long time later that I came back and registered.

Prior to that, I was mostly in yahoo groups, but they've kind of mostly died out.

I was looking around for ways to grow boobs and Susan's was listed as a resource on one of the sites I visited  :)

I was really nervous about it at first but wanted to learn and find friends and support so I registered in Oct. 2008... But I am so ridiculously shy that I didn't really start posting until Dec. or Jan.

Google.

Fifthed? I lost count.

I tend to search for forums when I become interested in a topic. Mostly I lurk; Susan's got lucky I guess. :P

I was googling information about guy's opinions for bottom surgery other FtM related stuff and came across this site many times in doing so but never joined.  Then when I was down and needed the support the most someone gave me a link to another site and I joined.  It was okay and all but I just couldn't feel that "spark" in that site and I didn't really like the background color.  The design was hard to follow and there was not a lot of FtM perspectives there and if there was I couldn't connect with them or find them.  Basically I felt like I couldn't have fun there so I said to myself "Ok I'm going to try Susan's.  I'm crossing over."  From then on out this is the first site I go to when I wake up and the last site I check before I go to sleep.  I'm addicted and I'm on random chat rooms less now lol.
Feel the need to ask me something or just want to check out my blog?  Then click below:

I read Susan's story online sometime in 2005, along with Dr. Rebecca Allison's and Lynn Conway's.
These three helped me realize, it was possible to transition and live a "normal" life.
Shortly after I transitioned on Jan. 27th of '06 I discovered susans.org while Googling Susan's story again.
I registered, sometime in March, under the name Tammy Renee, until my Mama changed my name
to Heather Rose and I reregistered under that name on June 7th.

I've always wanted to live in a neighborhood with you.

Could you be mine?
Won't you be my neighbor?" - Fred Rogers

I was researching more about FTM transition options (top surgery in particular) and a forum post popped up on Google search. Since then I've registered for a few months, deleted that account, and then came back later because the community here is lovely.

I think I first found it on Google. I don't quite remember but I'm pretty sure that's a safe assumption. Just trying to research and learn what to do. Since then, I've seen it pop up and mentioned other places.

I was reading a thread on another board and someone mentioned that "susans" was down and wanted to know if anybody knew about it. So i scouted around and found out what "susans" was, and came here. I was a lurker for a long time before i posted anything.

There was something *brand new* that just about everybody was excited & buzzing about . . .

. . . called "the internet"  ;)

( lol if you *hover* over your forum name you'll see embedded a number that gives a relative indication of WHO was here first:  "profile;u=2035" is members since creation, the beginning of "new time" )

"But it's no use now," thought poor Alice, "to pretend be two people!
