What music would you have wanted to play during SRS?

I thought of the below tune and thought it would have been amusingly appropriate for when I went on the operating table. Are there any other tunes that would have been rather fitting for the moment for you?  ;D

It takes balls to go through SRS!

I would play Shades of Marble by Trentemøller

To me Vera embodies the patience, strength and unyielding drive to survive; forced into a gender and kept alone in the basement. I share Vera's drive to survive. The sentence was handed down because I was not ready for first grade. So I was kept along in the church basement. I learned to hide that year. I learned how to survive that year. And there is nothing that is going to stop Vera or me from escape.

To me Shades of Marble keeps me focused on survival until I can escape. It gives me hope for a better future, someday.

My tune AFTER the surgery would be "You make me feel like a natural woman"  :D

Either one of the softer romantic Sailor Moon background cues or a song by ICP.  If I do a song from ICP it will probably be "I didn't mean to kill him", "Mr. Happy", "Chicken Huntin" or "My Axe Is My Buddy".  Chances are I'll stick to a Sailor Moon background song lol.

I would want what ever would make the surgeon do a better job,
I think they would put me out when it happens,
and if not, and if it is for only me, then
I would want some good dance music

I had messy emergency ankle surgery once, and the young and sexy surgeons and techs were playing the Smiths in the operating room. I was on so much medicine that I almost thought I'd imagined it.

So then I went back in a year or two later to work on cleaning up the mess, and I half-jokingly asked them where's the Morrissey. Lol I hadn't imagined it, they busted out a little boom box and asked me what album I wanted to hear.

I don't remember much else except that the room smelled funny. When I woke up in the post-surgical unit afterward (I'm told) I was babbling about it being time to flip the tape. Nobody knew what I was talking about. ;D

The day after my SRS, as I was recovering in the hospital, my boyfriend presented me with a CD of Californication by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, which was released several months earlier.  He knew I liked the song "Scar Tissue", and he thought it oddly appropriate.  So now that album is forever associated in my mind with my SRS.

However the albums I actually did listen to while dilating in my first few months were Gran Turismo by the Cardigans and Electric Honey by Luscious Jackson....so the tunes from those albums have strong SRS associations for me.

Gretchen

Music was the last thing that I was thinking about as they rolled me in but if some one asked, Gretchen what would you like to listen to before we knock your ass out, how about Angel of Death by SLAYER. Then of course I would have to wake up to music too, so I would like Enya's The Memory of Trees to be on.

Okay, I apologise for this in advance (or do I...?) but for some reason, this song sprang to mind ;D.
