ps. I'm not trans, I'm a significant other. My boyfriend is FtM, and he's only around 5"4, he tells me every day he wishes he was taller lol. I think it's pretty cute, I don't need to break my back just for some kisses!

Finding out I'm not as short as I thought I was? Or to know that my height is average is quite comforting.

And yes! Trust me you're height is definitely avg, and you shouldn't put to much stress on it. I guess it's ideal for a guy to want to be taller right? Either way, height won't mess up the cuteness factor!
I'm glad you feel more comforted though. If you ever need to reassure yourself, just remember people like me are nearly technically considered little people. (no offense to little people I hope, I LOVE my height!)

Ok, time for me to dog myself for a minute. Got my hair cut yesterday so decided to shave most of my face. I think it makes me pass FAR less than when I'm a fuzzy mongoose. I officially start T in 8 days though..sooo I can deal with it. The light is above my head in both pics making my hair look thin but it's not that bad...the hairline has moved back quite a bit though.

I haven't left for boot camp yet, but I have signed most of my papers. Waiting on a waiver for a medic disqual. The biggest challenge I've faced so far is the thing about transsexuals not allowed in the military. Taking T is strictly forbidden by women who are active duty, and the fact that some of the jobs require security clearances poses a problem(psych reports are shown in records.)

My boyfriend hasn't started T yet so he was considering just starting after he served. It's a shame the military can't accept transsexuals..a true shame.

It's complete Bolshevik if you ask me. I'm perfectly capable of doing my job whether I'm male or female, so why should it matter is what I can't grasp. We are held to the same physical standards as me (as of 2014) so who cares if I transition. And thank you! Tell him if he wants to serve, he better do it soon as they're super downsizing!

Not enough activists indeed. People just generally don't like to take initiative I suppose. I hope that all changes soon. The world needs to be more educated, especially on the fact that trans people can do the same jobs anyone else can.
I believe the only thing that sets people apart is attitude.
