Hey, it's not a bad start. I honestly wasn't sure what sort of vibe I give off at all. My family seems to think I look like a butch Lesbian, heehee. I don't have a problem with that but they couldn't be further from the truth...

And growing out eyebrows and taking out a nose stud is pretty easy stuff to fix.

And eyebrows...I pluck them! I'm guilty! Really for no other reason than (weirdo alert) I like plucking them, it's sort of a therapeutic process to yank those little suckers out. Based off your advice though I'm definitely going to let them go. Maybe not to my natural feral unibrow level though, lol (I'm a hairy Italian what can I say).

Some men like to shape their eyebrows. If you want to pass as a classic indisputable male, then grow them out. Be hairy, RAAWRR. If you want to groom them, then it's what you like. Some Gay/metro/even some straight men do. Or you can grow them out now until you've transitioned further then come back later and continue with shaping or whatever... I only throw that out there because I don't know what level of passing you're aiming for. From the photos, I'd place you in the range between neutral to masculine.

This made me laugh. I posted in a different thread about my dislike of being called a lesbian or a butch when the term was used to describe me as it was incredibly inaccurate. However, I think when people assumed that I was (without saying it to me), it somehow helped me feel like they identified me in general as a more masculine energy/person despite the known gender. When I finally said, "Guess what, I'm transitioning," it was like, no one really reacted with shock or horror.  They are still surprised that I prefer men. Hahaha..

Yeah, this is probably the wisest course of action. I'm a femme guy. That much I know. But I think for now I should grow 'em out to assert my identity a little better. Kind of like how I'm avoiding feminine colors but someday I hope to be able to wear them confidently again (like so many guys already do).

Hehe, I'm with you 100%. As the look got more and more butch my family knew something was up. After I came out it the response was along the lines of, 'ah. so that's what's going on.' Still haven't been able to convince them why, if I like men, it wouldn't be easier for me to remain a girl. Bless them...

ford i would say only pluck between your eyebrows and as for hair less volume or a bit shorter would make it more masculine but now you are at the male side of androgynous in my eyes.

in the 2 face shots you look androgynous, But in the full body pic you look like any other boy i see on the street and honestly a pretty attractive boy too. so i hope i helped ur confidance lol

You've got a nice strong chin, ford, and it helps a lot in making you look male. Judging from your clothes and pose in the final pic, I'm guessing you've got fairly masculine mannerisms, and those also help a lot in passing. Honestly, I think the only distinctly femme thing about you is what others have already mentioned -- your eyebrows.

And I'd describe your hair as more "adorably scruffy" than girly. :p

i think you pass best (100%) in the full body pic with the normal facial expression. first two don't pass at all imo, but it's an easy fix, just don't ever make those faces when you want to pass. actually, you look seriously badass in the full body, you should post it in the other thread!

Honestly, you don't look very girly in either of those pictures. Perhaps you look more masculine in the second, but you definitely don't look very "femme" in the first either.

I agree with Jason. I think if anything looks feminine in the first picture it's the clothing, but your face appears quite androgynous to me, and then definitely masculine in the second. It's cool to see that transformation, thanks for sharing

Yeah, but I think it's one subtility of language. I want to say : it was very difficult to have a passing before T for me because my face was very feminine (not my look or style).
