I have to do my legs tonight. I am probably going to make world headlines again tomorrow.  :embarrassed:
Sorry, but I am a bit of a wimp when it comes to pain.

Hey, maybe I should try a single malt scotch beforehand!!

I got used to the pain level fairly quickly, but once the HRT kicked in the hair on my legs thinned a lot and started to break off just below the surface.  Growing out it itched unbelieveably and I had to go back to waxing and shaving.
I wimped out on the back, stomach and chest, and had laser. Not quite as bed. :o
Ended up giving it to my GF as she wore hers out. Wonder how long this one will last?

Maegan ? Is there something in the water over there that makes you all that way, or are we just a bunch of whimps here in Oz. By the way, you made it to the late edition if the Channel 9 news over here. That was awesome. There's a group of talent scouts on there way over from "Australia You've Got Talent." I think they want to sign you up.

Well, I'm off to my 'slow release labotomy' (Opps - sorry, Electrolysis) in the morning. Enjoy your masochism, be safe, well and happy

QuoteMaybe when she sobers up from her pain session she will report in on her fantastic success.

Huh? Wa was  dat? Sober? Mee?

Okay, I'm sober. Actually it wasn't too bad. The only problem I seem to have is that some of the hair seems to have broken off, instead of being pulled out. I've only done the one leg so far and I've been wondering whether I should let the hair grow a bit longer before doing the other leg. The hair on my legs are quite thin after being on HRT for a year and two months now, so I am not sure if that is the problem.

Thanks Beverley.  :-*

I will give the exfoliating gloves a try. Interesting enough, I have noticed that my underarms are still nice and smooth after epilating them last week. Epilating is so different from shaving. No hard and scratchy stubble.  :)

I think I'm gonna make it a point to ask someone the next time I'm at a Walmart or Target.  ;D I live in a big city in Texas so one would think they would sell them in stores. Thanks everyone.

I did about half of my pubic area tonight. That made the stomach feel like a gentle massage.

...if you had the balls to do that... then you know what, so will i.
the pubic area is the only area i haven't touched xD

the area with the thickest hair i've epilated was my armpits and epilating that for the first time was pretty painful.
but nothing too bad.

I'm not going to lie, it hurt. But, not as bad as I thought it would. I took a really hot shower and stretched the skin as tight as I could and that helped a bit. If it doesn't get better after a couple of more times, I'll be back to shaving that area. It is very nice how smooth that area is right now, much more than shaving.

I haven't done my armpits with it. I'm incredibly ticklish in them and just don't think I could take it.

The hair does thin out when pulled from the root.

I can't wait to scream from doing that area lol.

Once upon a time, the answer would have been 'single malt scotch'. :D

You will be. I have grown to loathe my body hair and the less of it I have the more loathe what is left.

Beverley

Surely you don't add water to your scotch!?! Well, unless you're buying cask strength Macallan....but watering down a 12 or 15 year old brings tears to my eyes.

HIGHLY OFF-TOPIC

Living only a few hour's drive from the world centre of Scotch production, I have indulged myself on several tours over the years and the distillery people are quite adamant about the issue of water in scotch. They say that, straight from the bottle, whisky is so strong that it numbs the pallette and if yuo  want to detect delicate notes and flavours then dilute by half. This is why trained blenders rely on smell.

At the local whisky festival, the reps had water on every table.

Beverley

Ahhhh...what do they know?! But seriously, I bow to the knowledge and experience of those that make the nectar of the gods (unless of course you are talking about a really fine tequila, but I digress). Thanks for the info....I will have to conduct some taste tests......

I've done the original area that I did down there about three times now and it does get easier to do. Each time I've been doing a little bit more. Now I just have about an egg sized area in the middle that I haven't epilated. That area seems to be the worse!

If i wax that area, and then keep epilating it, that is the only way it feels any better... Bit waxing in genwral just feels so much easier, though it can be messy.
