Awkward moment with my mother this morning...

I was in the shower (which is right next to a skinny stand holding a bamboo plant) about to shave when I realized my razor blade was dull, so I hopped out and went to grab a new one.  Somehow during this process I managed to hook my foot around the stand and ended up flat on the floor with the pot of bamboo shattered across the bathtub.  It ended with my worried mother running through the door and me standing there in nothing but my packer and a face full of shaving cream with a huge mess behind me.  After an awkward moment she quickly shut the door and went to go get me some stuff to clean up with.  So yeah, go me.  I'm going to go with the pretend it didn't happen and hope she doesn't bring it up approach.

Yeaaah, no locks on any of the doors in my parents' house.  They're usually good with knocking, but not this time.

I'd say the club should come with a complex handshake, but there's no way it would be completed without the members getting seriously injured.

This cracked me up, Lee.

My bathroom door doesn't even stay closed properly, and it has no lock. Also, I can't fully close the hall closet door because it takes a credit card or a nail file to get it open again (I wedge a doorstop under the door to keep it almost closed, and that works fine).

Good luck getting the landlord to fix these items...and the other little things that need repair around here. Grump.

But I'll trade that any day over having my mother barge in on me!

My mum's boyfriend once came in wanting a serious discussion while I was binderless with my packer dangling in my shorts a little too obviously. It was cool until I fell back over the chair and everything wiggled and flopped in the most fantastic, obvious manner.
