Were there any certain topics that pulled you in?

I think I lurked about 6 months before joining.  People's opinions here on bottom surgery were just so interesting that I just knew I had to join.  The other sites I was at was alright but they just didn't have that "spark" I was looking for as this one.

About five minutes.

It wasn't so much the quality of the content as it was the overall activity level that appealed. Nice to see that in the following few years, this place has not changed noticably in that regard.

2 months. I found most of the answers I was looking for but had some more specific questions. So I joined (2 days ago) and started asking.

lol According to this i'm still a "troll" - after 6 plus 40 years? - and while 'tis true it's rather hard to take any of this TOO SERIOUSLY anymore also have the recent distinction of being kicked off TrueSelves for simply being "over-age"?

Belonged to many different forums over the years - never stay a lurker for long - and ya either LOVE, ignore or Hate me, your choice for sure  !

Knew about Susan's since around 2005, but had other networks back then... been lurking like every once in a blue moon since 2008... now I'm here to stay

I'd have to say about a year. Back then I hadn't even come out to myself more or less let alone even have an online account where I tell all.

I'm quite proud of myself actually since starting this account I've been able to talk to other people about wishing I was female, I've come out to my S.O. that I wished I was female and I've even meet in public with another trans person from the forums :D

I wished I could have had a place like this long ago and I wished I had joined the first day I found this place.

**hugs everyone**

I joined the first day I came here.

This, though I've never been much of a lurker on online forums.

one hour. that was because I was too excited by the forums and kept exploring topics I wanted info on.
Day by day, in every way, I am getting better and better. And so are you!

Found it around 07 08 but it didn't really sink in until recently. Spent some time on other sites throughout those years but this one

I joined pretty much straight away.. I've been tempted to leave once or twice, but the causes for that usually got themselves banned or moved on..

Proof that I am shy - 10 years or more of the several times a year lurk when things got bad

In my defense up until a couple of years ago I was firmly convinced I can pull off pretending to be a normal guy since there was no other viable alternative. I tried and bailed twice when I was young. Then spent 30-40 years dealing with consequences of a schizophrenic self

The second I found the place I did a happy dance and immediately signed up.

I was looking for the information anyway. I had already joined some others and was slowly working my way through each.

The others were, for the most part, pretty good, especially http://www.etransgender.com/ which I really have a soft spot for.

But I was looking for that something where I'd feel I didn't need permission to be here. (If you see what I mean).

Don't judge a book by its cover! My lifes been like a country song! True love, amazing grace, severe heartbreak, buckles, boots n spurs! I 've been thrown off the bull a couple times, I keep getting up and dusting myself off! Can't give up on my happily ever after!

About a day and a half. I have never really been on a forum before, and the ones I have been on were generally geared toward more casual topics, like fan forums. I looked around, read some of the posts in the FTM section, and realized that the folks 'round here were not nearly as scary as some people on the internet. I am certainly glad I did join. The people here are pretty cool.

So thanks to everyone for being cool, and thank you Susan for getting this place up and running!

Don't remember how long it was but it was a decent amount of time. I'm kinda shy but I'm working on it.
