I am a much happier person today than I was one year ago.  Part of it is getting right with myself.  Part of it is rejecting the daily hustle bustle.

I am better able to enjoy life's little pleasures

One thing I like to do now is take my time in the shower, and let the shower head setting massage my shoulders and neck.

How about you?

Hot tub and Jacuzzi under the starry canopy of Sonoma County looking down at the shadows of the Valley of the Moon.  No matter how good or bad the day was - the moment I get in it's all behind me.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...

Sitting on the couch at night with blinds open, taking in the view of the lights across the river, while I have a coffee.

sinking my teeth into a ripe sharon fruit.  oh yeah.

making cookies for people and the look on their faces as they enjoy them.

meeting someone's eyes, anyones', someone you know or a complete stranger, and feeling a jolt of excitement, like for a split second they noticed the life in you and reciprocated it.

standing outside in a thunderstorm and feeling terrified and exhilerated.

finishing a line of writing that reads like a punch to the gut.

walking out of the door and feeling like it's the start of another adventure.

i dunno man, right now it's everything.  every moment is buzzing with electricity.

You need to add a glass of a Napa Valley wine to that hot tub experience.

I'm a pretty good cook, but that one was new to me.  I had to look it up.
I'm not sure we get those in southern California, but we do get local persimmons, and there are persimmon treesare town.

Napa wine?  Why not just suggest some other foreign wine? (Shudder)  Actually the reds from Napa are ok, but I'm all about the Russian River Chards and the American Pinot from the coastal wineries.  But even more I've got Langanitus Brewery to the South of me, Bear Republic Brewing with their Racer 5 to the north, Hopmonk Brewery to the west and The Russian River Brewery two blocks away.  So I tend to be all about the Pliny the Elder.

Lagunitas.

And personally I love spanish and chilean reds. Spicy and usually inexpensive. And lol personally I'm broke, so if I buy wine myself it's usually Liberty Creek cabernet sauvignon or bota box merlot. XD

yeah, this variety you can eat the whole thing and you don't have to wait until it's completely ripe, though they're best when really soft and squishy.  i have a sharon fruit problem.  people could literally bribe me with the things.
