Trans conference 'long overdue'

A groundbreaking conference for community members and people providing transgender care will be held on August 24 – 25 at the Cairns Rydges Esplanade Resort.

Cairns Sexual Health Service's Dr Darren Russell (pictured) said the Transgender, Sister Girl and Gender Diverse Conference was long overdue.

"The need for better trans health care is at an all-time high," he said.
