Hello Everyone,
So Jill came out to her union job in December 2011. Ever since then it has been a bumpy ride. She has worked for the company for over a year (which is rather rare in construction) and has done nothing but AMAZING work for the company. She at one time had a company truck, brought a job site back from going into debt, has always been really nice to everyone. Well here is the messed up part. The 2 managers of the company are OUT TO GET HER FIRED!!!! In Nevada, since October 2011, the is completely illegal!!! A law was passed by our republican governor!!! TO protect ANY discrimination for transgender folks on the job site or in any public facilities!!!
Well Jill has been correcting people whom us her wrong name and gender!!!! Which of course is the right thing to do!!! One day one of her co workers was having a bad day, she asked if he needed a hug, the guy said no thank you.... well Conti stated that THE guy complained, Jill spoke with that person and he never did have a problem with that. They wrote her up!!! So the Business analyst contacted Jill and stated that the Union has her back and they are going to try and fight the write up!! SOOOOOOO instead of Conti stating okay never mind and letting it go!!! They want to have a hearing on the case that Jill has said other things that were inappropriate (what like correct folks when they stated the wrong gender) She HAS TO for her own WELL BEING JERKS!!!! Why add stress to an already stressful situation!! SO on Monday she is going to the court WITH ALL THE OTHER UNION companies (which has know her previous, before her transition) and these Jerks. The Director of HR has been really nice to her BUT it is just this one EXTREMELY religious person and the other guy!!!! I am so furious! Jill is handling this like a champ tho!! SHe is like so what let them trip out, she just can not believe after ALL OF THE PRAISE SHE GOT FROM THE SAME PEOPLE BEFORE are going after her because she is a transwoman I hope they get smoked in the court room. THE SCARY PART IS I PROBABLY will not be able to show up there for moral support!!!!!
