I guess my face passes for the most part on chatroulette which makes me feel pretty good haha and makes me more comfortable with going full-time. I don't even do anything to my hair or put any makeup on. A couple of guys have had to ask me if I was M or F but once I said F they didn't question anything.

Guy's driving alongside me, honking. I figure something visible's wrong with my car. I roll my window down but he just wants to ask my name and chat me up.

Nice! I had that happen once to me it was such a foreign feeling lol.

This is passing of a different kind. I've been full-time since late May. My eight-year old daughter is lucky enough to have her best friend living next door. Today, we, along with my 5 year old son, went to a movie together. After it was finished, my son had to use the restroom, so we all went into family bathroom, which has a single, open toilet. After my son was finished taking care of business, my daughter' friend without hesitation went about answering the call of nature herself. I think it's safe to say that she feels pretty comfortable around me. Perhaps "acceptance" fits better than "passing," but isn't that the goal of passing?

This is not exactly passing - since I don't think myself of being there quite yet. But on numerous occasions in the past few weeks, people have been referring me with female pronouns, even though all the time I dressed as the way I usually dressed in my male clothes and I'm not out to friends that was with me yet. So here's some of them

- I was talking to this girl that I meet at a meetup event, she heard me talking with my regular voice (which is even normally are pretty high pitched). So she was referring me as "she" which I gladly accepted, but my friend who was there immediately corrected her, since he didn't know about me transitioning. I felt bad for her.. but a the same time was pretty happy about that. (bonus: I won a mini fridge at that pub that night.. double happiness)

- I fell down and fainted at a restaurant due to food poisoning I think, in and out of consciousness I heard someone said, let's pull her near the wall so that she can rest there and one of my friend who doesn't know immediately corrected her for using that pronoun... (arggghh). Was taken to the hospital and I have to disclose the medication that I'm taking and showing my medical insurance card with "M" on it. I kind of overheard one of the nurse saying something about ".. this young lady".. felt better hearing that.. (thank you kind nurse).

- Was at starbucks yesterday, trying to get the frappucino. The barista charged me more that what he should and he ask his supervisor on how to reverse the charge for her (me)  The supervisor was also keep on referring me with the female pronouns. (and I'm not complaining)....

This was all happen without me even dressed in any female attire.....I only had a shoulder length hair. Not too confident in showing my pic yet.

Thank you. Those were just a few instances over the course of a few weeks, so I don't think I'm quite where I want to be in term of passing yet.

My mother was trying to get a form so that we can view my medical records online the last time when we were going for yet another MRI. The receptionist searches the system for me by name, and scrunches her face up after several attempts. She asks if I've ever been there, which I have many times, and then searches by less letters, coming up with a different chart. She finally finds mine with first name, last name, and birthdate, and goes, "Oh! That's because they have him listed as female in the system. You have to fix that."

Made my day XD

I have probably told this story before .... but at my age, repaeting stories is allowed 

About 10 years ago (30 years post-everything) I was working in the shop welding some piece of broken equipment (something you have to do when you live in farm country). I was dressed in safety boots, bib coveralls, a man's plaid shirt, no makeup, had my hair in a pony tail tucked up under a backwards baseball cap, a welding helmet on top of that and big bulky welding gloves and I am sure my face was smeared with dirt.

I heard someone pull into the yard so I stepped out to see who it was. It was a stranger who was looking down at a map and he said, "Excuse me sir but do you know ..." but when he glanced up, he quickly corrected himself "Excuse me ma'am but do you know here I can find ...." I gave him directions and he was on his way.

I walked back into the shop shaking my head and wondering what the heck gave away my gender. He should have gendered me as male, based on the clothing and obvious activity and I hadn't spoken at that point.

I guess I had lost the ability to "pass" as male LOL!

My car battery died, I called the emergency road service I'm a member of. Nice, mature, mechanic arrives,  very helpful and in the end says you should keep this car battery on a charger when you are not using it. Do you have a charger? I take out one that I have used since Moses charged the covenant. Yes that's what we need, I'll just show you how to use it correctly in case hubby isn't around.

When dropping off my son at school today, I was reffered to as his Mom, by 3 teachers and the school principal. My son still calls me Dad, but the principal knows that when my son ralks about Dad, he is talking about me. And my son took it all in stride. Lol.

So I'm at this thing with my guy friend at lotte wolrd in Seoul (indoor/outdooramusement park thing in the city)..it's a dance competition thing.   I'm sitting there, and the director thinks I'm my friend's gf...and so did everyone else in the room before I had to say I was a boy..   (Voice isn't passing yet, but apparently everything else is!)

I went to a sliding scale clinic that uses a church to meet in and signed in using  my female name. I had my appointment with the doctor and we covered a few issues and then I asked about some itching that I had and I hesitated a bit and said down there, and then the doc said "your vagina" and I said well sort of. So I guess if I could pass sitting a foot away from an MD I must not be doing to bad. Lol

My coworker, who sometimes forgets the pronouns, goes up to her and says 'did she already help you ma'am?'. He didn't point to me or anything. The lady goes 'no he is going to help me when he's done' and pointed to me.  made my day.

I would have responded the same way, you look very male to me Lance and had me going for quite some time until I started reading some of your FtM posts. Been at this a long time and usually read people in an instant.

Most recently: I had a makeover at Macy's. The lady doing it only figured it out when, an hour later, I supplied my photo ID to pay for things.

Plus she was complimenting my skin and eyes and lashes all the way through. Very nice lady.
