wow, there are some great passes here. ^_^

So, the other week, I was changing a rear brake caliper and rotor on my Blazer when one of the neighbors came by. It was the first time we had met. She was looking to borrow a lawn mower. Anyway, she asked me what I was doing and I told her and mentioned that I wanted this car safe to drive when I start truck driving. her eyes went wide and she asked, "Are you a mechanical?"
"Actually, no. I'm just winging it. Its nothing hard really."

She nodded silently and asked if I wanted help. Her brother was just up the street. We could hear him yelling as he and his friend drank beer. I said I was fine and I could do it on my own. Then my son came outside and she asked me if he was my son. I introduced him to her and she said, " well, whats he gonna do if you drive truck? You cant leave him alone."
"He wont be, my spouse is inside."
"Oh, so you're leaving him with his Dad."
"No, his Mom."
"Ah... wait, his Mom? So who had him?"
"My wife. I cant have kids."
"How come? Hystorectomy?"
"Yea, something like that."
"Ah, so you don't got your periods anymore."
"Not the messyness anyway. Some people still get what they call "phantom periods".
"Ah, I dont get mine anymore neither and I dont miss 'em one bit!"

And the conversation carried a little while longer.

in the end, my homophobic brother in law changed the brake pads and rotors for me. all i did was hand him parts and tools. For someone who doesnt see me as female he sure treats me like one some days. Lol.

Super cool pass Rainbow! You were treated like just another woman. Feels great doesn't it? It was also nice of your brother to change the pads and rotors for you.

Best wishes!

Walking into a Chipotle last week I hear a young child say to their mom, "that looks like a boy but it's a girl." The mom promptly shushed the child and they left.
I am not positive that it was directed at me, but it could have been. The sun was glaring in my face so I couldn't actually see them.

As I am only 1 month hrt and still presenting male (tshirts and jeans) I guess thats kind of an inception pass.
I did have my hair down and my glasses off so I looked more feminine than usual.

Aww, that's cute!
Nothing wrong with a tall girl, I'm almost 6'2 in a good pair of heels. aha

It shows your getting there girl. Given a little more time on hrt you'll pass easily if that's you in your Avatar.

Also, I hope you don't mind me asking. Are you Native American by any chance? I only as because I am, and again, in your Avatar you look like you have Native American in you.

Ally :icon_flower:

Yeah that's me in my avatar (pre-hrt). I honestly wasn't expecting anything noticeable for at least a few more months.

And I guess I technically have a bit of native American blood. One great grandmother was either full or half cherokee on my mom's side. And some smaller fraction of blackfoot from my dad's side.

Your Native American blood shows in you. You'll be stunning and exotic once you've had a year on hrt. :icon_yes:

I could be stunning and exotic too -if I wasn't such an old lady!, lol!!

LOL... Summertime, tank-top time, catching guys trying to look down my top again whenever I have to lean over to do something, not sure if I should feel complimented or violated

Today I had to set part of my groceries down to unlock my bike, when I looked up a young man quickly turned away and his girlfriend punched him in the side and said "Your busted!!!" He of coarse played it off and said he was just checking to see if I needed any help and they walk away holding hands

Happened yesterday, My friends were visiting me and one of them asked if the other told me what she said earlier, I said no and so they proceeded to tell me that apparently when my dad and I went to pick them up from a red rooster so they could hang out with me( I don't have a car and they missed their bus), as we pulled up and I lowered my window I waved at them, one of them didn't see my dad and thought I was driving and asked who the girl in the car(me) with me was that was waving to them. Was probably the sunnies I was wearing but that made my day.

Very cool pass! It's especially great when your friends and people who knew you before transition see you as a girl. I can only imagine how great it made you feel.

I understand she's leaving Downton, perhaps you can be a stand-in although that character she played wouldn't be too flattering for you Kim. I like the Happy Valley look better.

Was riding to the store as I often do and a car pulled out of a driveway nearly hitting me, darn college kids, they didn't look, slow down or anything... I had to hit the brakes pretty hard and as most folks know the front brakes grab much tighter than the back

I nearly flipped the bike, was up on the front wheel looking at the ground thinking "Please... NO!!!" Luckily the back wheel came back down, I landed hard but proper which hurt pretty good for a 52 year old with pre-existing injuries... It was pretty jarring to say the least

I bounced a bit when I landed and then a car full of guys pulled up and one of them yelled "Shake it don't break it Baby!!!" Feeling rather uncomfortable at the moment I shot evils their way

A guy from the back seat tapped him on the shoulder and said "That cow's 'bout ready to put a stomp on ya du" and they sped away

Mooooooo!!!
