I will say that I work for Lowes Home Improvement.   My nametag still reads my male name and I still have to use the mens bathroom.  While running the power equipment I get the "woman driver" comments.  Washing my hands and seeing guys double take to look at the restroom sign.  Or my all time irritation, I guess in the past few months I lost brain cells because when viewed as female, I must know less and they will bypass me to find a "man" to help them.

I guess it is working even if I don't see it...

I was window shopping at a classic car show and looking  at a GT 390 Mustang with a 4 speed when the guy selling several Mustangs tried to talk me into buying his 6 cylinder secretary's special as the GT 390 was "a man's car"

I had a voice pass this morning. I called and cancelled my cable TV yesterday and they scheduled a guy to show up at my apartment at 8am this morning and only told me about it with an automated call very late last night. I've got to go to work today and that appointment time won't work. My account is still in my old boy name because I haven't changed it yet.

So i called today to reschedule:

cable lady: Thank you for calling time warner cable, to whom am i speaking?
me: <old boy name>
cable lady: thank you mam...... errrr, i mean sir

Yep, the voice lessons worked

Yay for you all!  I just left Walgreens... Had to grab makeup, a new straighter, and some nail polish with the wifey...   Made my day when the lady working asked "do you ladies need any help?"   Super excited and wasn't even trying that hard!

I belong to a wine club that is run by a winery in a city that's about 20 miles away from where i live. Each quarter they have a wine club event and the members meet at the winery to taste various vintages and select their wines for that quarter. The area where the wine club is located is in an affluent area and the people that show up for the event seem to be well heeled. As a broke person I am the odd one in the bunch, but I enjoy the experience of hanging out with upper crust people.

Tonight was such an event, so I decided to have a little fun. I put on my tight dark skinny jeans, an elegant back/silver sweater that says "dinner party", and my leather/suede booties with 4" heels (which makes me close to 6 feet tall), and I headed out the door. I was better dressed than most of the women there which was my goal.

I got three basic reactions tonight: some women completely ignored me, a lot of women smiled at me, and the most interesting reaction: some women shot daggers at me with their eyes  I know that women do this and having it done to me tonight was a uniquely female experience.

Th fact that they shot daggers at me tells me that they saw me as another woman. I passed.

Also, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience of rocking their boat  >:-)

Great pass Eva Marie and the above comment makes you my kind of gal, I love doing that and acting unaware and impervious to their reactions.

I second this^^___^^. Great pass Eva! You definitely were getting a jealous reaction. :icon_yes:

I'm having my own problem with the jealous wifey of my next door neighbor. In fact, I just came in the door from talking with her. I made it clear to her I'm lesbian and that I have no interest at all in her husband. I think I eased her mind a little. At least I hope I did anyways. I'm hoping my neighborhood trouble with her is over with. :eusa_pray:

Silver Centurion

I was walking to the women's bathroom at a busy Costco and the sign wasn't visible from behind me so a guy just followed me and stopped in the opening in utter confusion then quickly veered off towards the men's! It got even more interesting when I came out of the stall and an employee did a double take and when at the sinks a woman gave me a death glare while I was washing my hands.

Total pass! Use the men's from now on.

I was one of the organizers of a 3 day long trans event. Lot of trans people came. After a talk which I was a part of, a young (cis) girl wanted to find MtF transsexuals for her thesis and asked around for volunteers. I wanted to help her but she seemed to ignore me completely multiple times, even when I stood in front of her. I did not want to say anything, I was curious if she would think I'm trans. She didn't. She didn't get it until my acquaintances pointed me out to her :)

Last week while I was still in Brisbane I went with my uncle, cousin and a friend of my cousin to an RSL club for dinner and when we were finished and plates were being collected the waitress said: "Can I take your plate ma'am?" And then on Sunday during my flight home when they brought the complimentary meals out I was happily surprised by the steward when she said: "Which meal would you like miss?"

For me, it happened when I was walking up to the metro train station a little while back. I was wearing my GTA V snapback that reads "Los Santos" and the sheriff there said "Hey, it's Mr. Los Santos!" Note that we do not know each other and I am not biologically male. I was so happy and also embarrassed, so I just laughed and kept walking. Hope I didn't seem rude, I was just really surprised because I look like a teenage delinquent and I never expect sheriffs to be nice to me, hahaha.
"Whoops, there it goes... Yep. My brain stopped."

Yes Silver Centurion, I think it is time to be using the men's

My first time in the men's, was when I needed to go and asked the security person at the door which way to the restroom and she pointed me toward one and when I got about 2 steps from the door I saw men's.  I went in used a stall, washed my hands and left; no one said or looked at me differently that I know.  All the guys in there wanted to go as quickly as they could and get to class as I was.  I thought afterward this was so simple and have been using the men's almost all the time since.

FYI - Cis men don't make eye contact and avoid looking at people's faces in the men's room. They rarely speak to another person, just get in and get out, sadly many don't even bother to wash their hands afterwards. The reason for all this odd behavior is rooted in homophobia and fears of being seen as possibly gay. No trans man should have any undue fear of using the men's room, no-one is going to be looking at you. When using the stall be sure the seat is urine free, some cis men haven't been properly potty trained and are slobs.
