North Carolina Amendment One

If you live in North Carolina and do not know about Amendment One, it is a constitutional amendment on the ballot in May that will make a marriage defined as only one man and one woman.  There is already a law in place defining marriage in such a way, but this would actually put it into the constitution.  This is really bad news for anyone in the trans community as well as all those in the LGBT community and the amendment would also harm protections for male/females couples who live together and are not legally married.  Please check out this link and if you are in NC and can vote please vote against this amendment, it is bad for all of us.

I'm in SC and I hope it doesn't pass.  It would be a sad day for NC.

We are the only southern state without such an amendement right now and it looks like it is probably going to pass so if you know anyone in NC who can vote, get the word out we need all the help we can get!
