Krishnagiri, April 12 (PTI) A 42-year-old transgender was found murdered near here today. The victim was identified as Menakshiammal, who is a native of Ukkadam in Coimbatore and residing in Mullai Nagar near Krishnagiri for the past few months, police said. Meankshiammal’s house was locked from outside for the past four days. Neighbours thought that Meenakshiammal had gone out of station, but following foul smell emanating from the locked house, police were informed.

KRISHNAGIRI: The body of a 42-year old transgender was found in a remote area near Krishnagiri town on Thursday, sending shock waves among the members of the community in the district.
The victim, identified as Meenakshiammal, from Ukkadam in Coimbatore, has been residing in Mullai Nagar near here for the past few months.
As Meenakshiammal's house remained locked for the past four days, neighbours thought that she was out of station.
