I'm crazyflower. I thought this looked like a good place to go because I am transgender. I am physically a female, but I'd rather be male.
I remember always hating female stuff and having terrible PMS. I wanted to be rid of it. One day I started reading about gender identity online. I started to wonder if I could be transgender. I thought about it a lot. Once I no longer considered my self female the world started to make sense. My mom seems to accept it , but I am not sure if she really understands. She booked me an appointment to get the birth control shot, but it isn't what I want. I just don't want to be female. I don't know how I would say it.
I do have an appointment with a gender identity psychiatrist in about two months.

It does not take courage or bravery to change your gender.  It takes fear of living one more day in the wrong one.~me

Hi and welcome from yet another of the Aussie contingent.

A good Gender Therapist can help you work out where you are on the gender spectrum, and help you ask the questions you probably can't articulate.  I know mine did, and still does.

Some people here have always known who they were, but others end up taking years to get the idea.  It sounds like you have got a good start towards resolving your issues.
Remember to be as kind to yourself as you would be to your best friend, and take your time.  It's a steep learning curve, but I think everyone here will say it is worth it.
Eat slow and have fun.

Karen.
