Our mission is to be a support site for gender dysmorphic people of any situation, so feel at home and feel comfortable
TG is pretty confusing no matter what side of the coin we begin on. I think we all tend to tell people to try and find a gender therapist to start talking to about all the issues. FtM tend to have really good outcomes in looking masculine after being on T, and having top and bottom surgery, and they tend to pass really well in society. MtF generally have more problems in passing but the surgery outcomes are better in that breast augmentation, castration and modelling a functional vagina is well advanced. Sadly construction of a penis for FtM is pretty basic.
But in both cases we get great comfort and support by living as our true gender. And how far any of us want to go in our journeys are our business, there are no rules or timetables, we do what we are comfortable with. All of our circumstances are different. So never feel pressured to do something you are unsure of. This is also where the therapist is of great help. They are the sounding board to guide and assist us.
As usual the rules change in country to country. I'm in Australia and there is quite a strict protocol that has to be followed. It seems to be different in the USA and in the UK.
Safe trip, welcome and post away.
Cindy
