I hope this is true because I do not want to become old, and I don't value my life anyways lol. I just sorta roll with it.

With your face I would love living...

But I'm not ugly either, actually consider by some "good-looking", so looks don't go that far lol besides getting men.

You ARE going to die, sooner or later it WILL happen.
Nononono... by the time we get old, they will work out how to scoop out our brains and stick them into robot bodies of our chosing!  >:-)

More seriously, it's how you live before you die that counts more, but I would like a dignified death - just go to sleep one night and not wake up.  (Chances of that happening - pretty slim!)

You joke, but in the back of many peoples minds, I think they really hold out hope of that.

I don't think most people really accept their own mortality.

But you're right, it's how you live that counts.

"Everybody dies but not everybody lives"

My life before~ If you could call that living. Introverted, poor relationships. Seriously, I wasn't even sociable on online games. Im not even out. My life is better now that I'm changing. Much better. Even if the GD gets more severe now sometimes. Seriously, you can take a look at pre-photos. Almost never do they look happy unless they are: A) Drinking or B) In some social situation.

Honestly, I doubt we have much shorter life times if you remove suicide. The only real fear from being trans is liver failure (which I don't think is a problem given certain types of delivery systems), DVTs. Which are preventable if you are slightly careful, and probably not a problem period unless you are older, and we do gain I think a risk of breast cancer that's comparable to womens (genetic)

I don't think HRT itself - if managed by a competent specialist - is a significant risk factor. It IS one, but I think the lower heart/etc. disease risk related to estrogen instead of testosterone would outweight this.

I totally agree!

Stumbled across a text which said something about the lifespan of "MTF" was 20 years lower than life expectancy of a biologically born a man?

Monica, what text did you see this in?

ByeBye

That's not true. Pessimism kills. Being "two-spirited" is NOT the cause. The cause on average is a hating of one's life, also violence, drugs, and that like 40 percent of mtf transwomen contemplate suicide. Some do carry this act through.  Then there's the 2.64 percent HIV rate from transgender women who have sex with bisexual men with HIV etc. It stacks up. :(

Lots of transwomen live VERY risky lifestyles. Plenty have smoked and drank heavily before their transition in their male lifestyles.

ByeBye

It's not bad enough that we're put through hell, but is the life expectancy for mtf transsexuals really TWENTY YEARS LOWER?

That's an insult!

Why can't it not make a difference?

If they did religion wouldn't exist...
