Many years ago, in the United States, there was television series that purported to re-enact "true" stories of the odd, unexplained, and mysterious.  It was called "One Step Beyond."

I think there are some YouTube videos of a few episodes out there.

I've always been scared of the dark, but it freaked me out when I used to turn the light on, reason being? SCARY THINGS CAN FIND YOU EASIER WITH THE LIGHT ON. These days I need a movie on to sleep lol (not scary! Usually a car movie f&f etc)
